I'm excited about the possibilities demonstrated with the Cloud in the video. If you have any differing opinions about that, I don't see anything wrong with that. My problem came when people started complaining about stuff that wasn't even relevant to the tech demo. Already knew they were going to hate before they even clicked play on the Youtube video.
Well there's reasonable criticism, and there's unreasonable criticism.
Saying this tech demo that's over a year from release isn't as polished as GTA. Isn't exactly reasonable.
Especially coming from dudes who make it their business to find anything negative to say.

Can do it and can do it "as well" as MS is the question. I think MS would obviously do it better NOW but that's not to say that EA couldn't do it adequately if they allocated the resources to it. And more importantly, necessity budget wise. Outside of MS, I do think Sony is in the best position to offer something similar strictly in regards to gaming and having cloud server farms already in place with their Gaikai acquisition. I still don't think Sony would do it personally since it would require the user to be online to get the gist of the benefit and their customer base just isn't here yet. You also don't want to "split" the market in a sense with some users getting the benefits of the cloud computing and others not being able to due to internet availability.
I think it definitely offers benefits in shyt like MMOs and single player games. I'm interested to see the contrast between the offline destructibility vs the online portion personally.
