So the thing that could've gotten Trump re-elected is the good economy and this comes along and destroys the economy....:jbhmm:

Maybe this is the earth trying to cleanse itself of CACs and rice CACs.
I was thinking this is the earth trying to cleanse itself of the ever growing older population. People are living longer than ever and that's not natural. No disrespect to the elders or anything. My grandma is 89 and I want her to live to at least see me get married and have children.

City schools have their first confirmed case of coronavirus, prompting officials to close two Bronx schools for 24 hours.

The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology and South Bronx Preparatory: A College Board School, two co-located schools serving 6-12 grade students in the South Bronx, will be closed for a day after a student tested positive for the coronavirus.

The schools enroll around 1,300 students altogether.

Officials will interview students and staff to figure out who was in close contact with the student, and “recommend quarantine and testing as necessary,” according to Mayor de Blasio.

The student “self-confirmed” the positive coronavirus test, which means the family reported the result to the school but it hasn’t yet been logged in the official state database.

Schools across the state are required to close for 24 hours if a student or staff member tests positive for the virus, according to recent guidance from Gov. Cuomo.

“We don’t make this decision lightly,” said de Blasio Thursday morning. “We know the disruption and anxiety this means for students, faculty and parents. We are taking every precaution to keep people safe, and we will keep everyone informed as we learn more through the day.”

De Blasio has said he expects city school closures to be “pinpoint,” and is reluctant to move to mass school shutdowns because of the disruption for students and families.

COVID-19 OKLAHOMA LATEST LOCAL UPDATES

The hotel said it’s working with public health officials at the Oklahoma City Health Department to ensure that its employees and guests are informed, safe and well taken care of. Out of an abundance of caution, hotel officials said they are working to temporarily close the hotel so that they can complete a comprehensive, hotel-wide deep clean.

Officials with the Oklahoma City Health Department will reach out to anyone who came into close contact with the person, according to the hotel’s statement. Health officials advise that the risk of transmission is low for those who have not been in close contact with the person.

The Oklahoma City Thunder's game Wednesday against the Utah Jazz was postponed until a later date after the NBA learned that a Jazz player tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. Multiple reports indicate that Jazz All-Star Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. The Jazz scratched Gobert from the lineup about an hour before the game was supposed to tip off.

The team was reportedly staying at the 21c Hotel, however, the hotel has not confirmed that the person tested positive there was Gobert.
