I think part of the reason people are freaking out is due to this supposedly coming from China tbh. But yea if social media was on the level it is now back when the swine flu was around the paranoia woulda been similar. This is cause for concern but it’s definitely not the end of the world

As a fellow engineer you're seeing this ignorance too right ? We deal with numbers all the time and probably had courses covering this shyt so it seems obvious to us.


In short, we need more data. Means more testing and maybe more time.
Folks really need to take an intro to stats and probability course. They not aware of how to read data correctly.
