Masks are really just to slow the transmission of large viral loads. An N95 isn't going to protect you anymore than the ones I listed will. In fact '95's actually are more likely to spread the transmission because it's a one way vales that actually releases your breath into the air without any filtering. Of course this is all just my non-scientific opinion though haha

Ah, I see I thought you were the person who posted that originally, my apologies. Still, it's just not looters violating social distancing rules and to make such a blanket statement is wrong , in my opinion. So, take half of what I posted towards you and apply it to the original person I quoted.

Not all N95s have that exhalation valve. You’re referring to some of the industrial ones.

I wear medical 3M N95s whenever I’m out. Got a good amount back in Feb, so I’m good. Also have some of the industrial ones with the vent too. Heat doesn’t faze me at all. Guess I’m used to it. Safety over comfort.

it might be mental on my end now that you say that...cuz the irony is I have a lot cuz I wore them when I mowed the lawn and it wasn’t an issue then...even tho it was hotter outside plus I was exerting energy...I guess the “problem” comes into play bcuz now I “have” to wear it

The smell and taste issue has lots to do with toxins in the liver. Take some lactulose and see if it helps. Or a liver cleanse.

If it stays for more than a week, definitely see a doc.

Again, just found it interesting and further cements my belief how a lot of people lack the ability to empathize and quick to discount shyt until it hits them directly. I don't know what the opinions of the nurses who went to NY before going but, again my mom told me there is a new level of seriousness about it among the nurses who went.

It's logic and rational which is in short supply. I don't need to be able to walk on the Sun to be capable of thinking sensibly about it. I think it is a basic question of exposure. Is there a single advanced pure mathematician/statistician out there who has issues understanding this from the off? We will probably never know, but I would think not.

It's like the Monty Hall problem. If you approach it with your untrained intuition it's confusing.

The health practitioners in the actual hospital do not even adhere to preventing cross contamination
They rarely wear face masks
I had to beg them to clean my hospital room more than once for the day
They rarely wear gloves
They don't even demand that patients that blatantly have covid syptoms are wearing ppe or isolated
Just leave them exposed and within close proximity of other vulnerable patients

I made sure I was almost clinical with all my movements in there

Got tested
Officially Covid Negative

What kind of shyt hole hospital are you in? Everyone in our hospital separated covid and non covid. Every patient has a mask over their mouth covid or not and no one allowed to enter covid room without ppe

Definitely a shythole

That's not my usual hospital but due to the nature of the incident I was taken there
