What numbers? 10k new cases a day, 1900 deaths a day.

Dont be stupid.
We seemed to be on a decline gradually.

Seems like we peeked closer to 4-2 and though there have been spurts the overall trend seems to be going down here now.

I've been wary about buying into "peaks". Without a vaccine and supposed reinfection in multiple countries (albeit not many reports), I don't understand how experts say that with confidence.

Because unless I am terribly mistaken, what prevents a new peak once people feel confident enough to stop self quarantining and observing social distancing?
This can't stay like this indefinitely. If it does then you're talking about destroying people's lives. What are you gonna do when people can't afford to feed their families anymore because they've burned through their savings and that measly $1200 payment? You're gonna have them sit at home and starve to death? Stack rent and mortgage payments they'll never be able to catch up on?

Unless we go into Universal Basic Income this will have to end in the near future.

Unemployment is so high people can't even get through to file

All the people on here trying get things back open by May or June and being overly optimistic, the reality is, its not happening.

Let's just sit back, chill, and start to get to know each other better, cuz we gonna be on the Coli all summer

Trump and these republican governors about to start sacrificing folks in may.

I wouldn’t count on NFL playing this season.
Trivial compared to what many are going through but would be heartbreaking to me as will losing the NBA playoffs.....

Not to be political in this thread, but people really like Trump to the point where sports events get cancelled permanently? Social distancing changed humanity.

Not sure why my post prompted you quote me with this.

But since you did, I have no answers to your questions. People will either take the risk or they won't. Or they will be forced to stay home and have the option removed.

Given what you are saying and asking though, it appears to me that the idea that we have peaked is not true nor will be true anytime soon. Once people say fukk a self quarantine and fukk social distancing.. the numbers most likely will balloon.

Hell, just seeing how people are talking on this forum leads me to believe we aren't close to peaking.
