May will probably happen. I think by the middle of May for sure. Especially in Michigan.
no chance in hell.

Novartis is not going to apply for indication because it costs money and time to run a clinical trial, they're more then happy to have Doctors write it off label. And it's just a treatment not a cure, hopefully it will be replaced by an actual vaccine. So why pour money into a temporary solution
All I can do right now is speak to second hand experience from someone who has used the drug for over 10 years. This is a very old drug that has a lot of new opinions on it (not necessarily from people in the know) due to it being in the spotlight. So I maintain that, if it truly works, and if given to you (by professionals), take it. I have not and will not act as an authority on the drug. I will only encourage people to use it once it is learned that it truly works, just as I've been saying in this thread for weeks.
As for my mom welcoming the drug profile and chemical components vs someone with no need, do you have any literature on that? This is pertinent information for someone with lupus. So if you have that, I need that.
Also, to the people that died in Italy. How many is plenty? Was it due to overdose? Was it hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine phosphate (major confusion from what I've noticed)? Were the deaths directly attributed to taking the drug?
With regard to cardiac arrest, I'm not sure if we are misreading each other. I said that to ease fears for anyone who would go on WebMD or any other website to check on the side effects of hydroxychloroquine. I understand that some people will just look at what is listed and won't look as to why it is listed. So they may see, for example, cardiac arrest as a side effect. However, only one case since the drug was introduced may have occurred. Yet, it still has to be listed, no matter how unlikely.
I'll say that again using a different side effect before someone harps on cardiac arrest..
So they may see, for example, erectile dysfunction as a side effect. However, only one case since the drug was introduced may have occurred. Yet, it still has to be listed, no matter how unlikely.
In Michigan in the middle of May we will have been 7 weeks into the stay at home order. 8 weeks if you count the shutdowns of restaurants and gyms that happen a week earlier. The incubation period for the virus is like 2 weeks. It will have been enough time to relax the orders. Our numbers are showing signs of falling now.no chance in hell.

The Republicans will push it here. They're already pushing back against the governor. We're either into our peek or will within the next week be into it. I'm not saying everything will reopen but they'll likely begin to relax the orders. It hasn't reached its peak yet.. still not enough testing, still dont know how to properly medicate it, still dont know the length of how its transmitted etc.
What happens when all the bars, clubs, etc everything is open in May, and you get another major outbreak (which will happen 100%)
That's political suicide on every leader in Michigan and massive lawsuits.
