Just the opposite. They tell you to stay at home unless you have trouble breathing, then you should report to the hospital. Yet a large majority of the people who report to the hospital don't need ventilators, even if you only count the ones who have trouble breathing. Considering his national importance, they are QUICKER to want him in the hospital even if he's not a ventilator case out of abundance of precaution, because if shyt goes south quickly they're not going to want to have to waste one second hooking him up.

Not saying that it's impossible that he'll end up on a ventilator, I'm just saying that you can't tell that from the facts of the story.
well never know the truth about his situation

Redi Tlhabi called out Adam Housley after he claimed "one million body bags were delivered to SA" due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Redi Tlhabi was one of thousands of South Africans who put US journalist Adam Housley on blast after he tweeted false information about the Covid-19 situation in SA. His tweet sparked widespread outrage.

In a now-deleted three-part Twitter thread, Adam claimed "one million body bags had been delivered to South Africa".

"Tonight I have learned that one million body bags have been delivered to South Africa. It's estimated that nearly 8.5 million people have Aids or TB in the country, and they are very worried about what's coming with coronavirus," he claimed in his tweet.

Adam's thread also claimed his sources have told him that SA would likely need one or two million more body bags.

"I have great contacts there who say they are likely going to be asking for one to two million more body bags. 'Adam we just don't have the infrastructure like America to help people here. The socialised health system serves most people, but it's corrupt, underfunded and understaffed'," he tweeted.

South Africans didn't waste time letting him know they don't appreciate his claims, and Redi was one of the people leading the charge.

"Just shut up. What you wrote below has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fake news you posted. We don't care who you love. Just stop this toxic misinformation campaign and ignorance. We did not misunderstand you. We are highly educated and well-travelled citizens. And we live here! "

Adam, whose Twitter bio describes him as an Emmy-winning journalist, is also the husband of celebrity actress and The View talk show co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley.

As South Africans continued to attack him for his "source-based" information, he drafted an apology, which he has since deleted as South Africans continued to drag him for statements that included "I met Tutu".

Needless to say, South Africans didn't appreciate the man's tone.

Here are some of the reactions below.

to further on this, makes sense why studies show certain blood types are more affected, and why a lot of italians have died, not just because of age but also because a lot of mediterranean’s have blood issues (anemia, sickle cell) and could explain also why a lot of black people are dying in states that are higher percentage of white :dwillhuh:

seems from evidence and dr talk that this virus is an attack on the blood

a NY ER dr even said we need to change how they intubate patients

Oh man.

I have microcytic anemia. (Small red blood cells)

Sickle cell is rampant in Italians?

Also sickle cell helps retain blood nutrients...I think its why they are using malaria medicine...now the hydrocoloquin drug makes a bit of sense.

yes

Sickle cell disease (SCD) is the most common genetic abnormality that afflicts people of African ancestry and it is the most frequent hemoglobinopathy in Italy”

i’m Greek and my entire family has anemia, we also struggle with vitamin d deficiency as well which i’ve read & heard is also common amongst black people

makes sense given the ‘Out of Africa’ ‘theory’

this absolutely has to be a virus that attacks the blood and hemoglobin

so those who already have hemoglobin issues (sickle cell, anemia) would be more apt to fall extremely ill... makes sense if you consider Italy’s death rate being so high? sickle cell is the most common hemoglobinopathy in italians and Africas, then if you look at NY.. made up of a lot of Italians & Africans, two groups that sickle cell is very common amongst..
