As amazing as the artwork and fights are the story is kind of retarded and doesn't deserve to be mentioned with the heavyweight shonen

First off Bleach was never gonna be on GOAT level because the story was always average as hell. It was all about the different characters and fights but damn once that part fell off you see what happened.
One Punch Man has great art but the story hasn't really gone anywhere yet to be considered GOAT.

I have no problem getting with the times and read a bunch of new shyt that has potential (Apocalypse No Toride, Terraformas) but I aint letting you cats try to slide One Punch Man in there just b/c the fights are violent, require no strategy, and short as fukk with no real story.

Looking back Kubo wasn't ready for the success of bleach. I think Bleach would have benefitted more from a monthly format. Kubo isn't Oda. Oda is a detail oriented architect that he's fine tweaking a finished product. Oda is a production machine, because he already has everything mapped out in advance, you could tell Kubo didn't expect Bleach to be so successful and to be as prolonged, so he scrambled at some points. If Kubo had a partner like AOT author doing the story it would be GOAT. I don't think Kubo is a terrible writer, I just think he's a different kind of writer, whenever he took a haitius and when he started, his ideas were pretty good, the beginning of the thousand year blood arc was amazing. Soul society was amazing. Karakura town arc was underrated as hell. He writes good moments, but he has weaknesses doing a long term, weekly format. The man was burned out I think.

Mob Psycho 100 is my favorite completed manga of all time even though the art sucks but the story is what cements it for me.
As far as art goes, Feng Shen Jin. It gives me the 90s X-Men vibes, Kung Fu films and Greek Mythology all wrapped up in one. fukking incredible. And I learned there’s a 4th one out that’s in modern times but haven’t looked it up yet cause last time I saw it wasn’t translated. I’m really shocked a color comic with that many issues and consistent quality lasted as long as it did.
