Could a one month off season possibly work in wrestling?

People are clueless about how significantly less WWE talent is on the road today versus in the past. The talent today have it easy as hell compared to back in the day.

Very few of them are truly on the road "300 days a year" and those few are compensated in millions of dollars for it.

Your average WWE talent works 3 to 4 days a week at 5-15 minutes per match.

Which era though because pre-Hulkamania, the only guy who had to travel a similar schedule was the NWA champion. Rest of the guys just did a regional loop then went home.

If you're talking from like 85 to now, their schedule is slightly better. Example this week the SD crew is doing shows in Florida then they're all suppose to fly to the Northeast for SD then spend the whole week in NYC.

why wouldnt it?

Think about how fast u forget about wrestlers. When someone isnt in tv for 2 weeks u dobt even notice.

After 4-5 weeks ur like, "yoo, (wrestler) hasnt been on tv in a minute", but by then u don't really care anymore.

So basically most fans will lose interest completely

Yet fans have been waiting for the payoff between cersei and Dany on game of thrones for years and they have full years off tv at a time

It's all about building and conditioning. Fans were conditioned to think jinder was a scrub then he becomes champion and his image is changed in a matter of months

That's my point though
In theory wrestlers do this and can build up their name by picking and choosing what companies and promotions and shows they work

Cody Rhodes has done more on less dates then he did in wwe for his career and gimmick where as guys like dolph Ziggler with comperable talent is burnt out and had at least 15 matches with everyone who could be interesting same as sheamus

The wrestlers don't have to work in the E. It is a CHOICE.

You're leaning hard on the wwe side as if I have any power in this

Of course the wwe controls the schedule and wrestlers don't have to work it but I'm saying look at he positives and potential pluses that could come with an off season

Dude, this is wrestling. Not a renowned tv show.

I can bet you any amount of money if it disappeared for a month, when it comes back ratings will be worse

Lol all you guys do is complain how stale everyone is, make fun of bad ratings as is, and say it's the same thing every week
