This S.H.E.S Massacre has all these pundits targeting video games, right as my most anticipated violent game is on the horizon "The Last of Us and GTA5".

They're going hard, and they don't even know if the shooter was a gamer. Just when the technology is about to shift to more powerful CPU+GPU are getting 5 times better for more visceral graphic violence.

Sony/EA/MS/Nintendo/UBISOFT will bend over and be less violent.

Blood and gore within a scope of reason is OK but the way some of these games just cater towards the bloodlust that a lot of these losers who play videogames seem to have is disturbing.

Wrong. These games are for adults. Stores and parents need to take more measures to not sell mature games to minors and adults need to not casually play violent video games around children. Why dont we just make all rated r movies pg-13 while we're at it. You sound like you've run out of ideas and the one you just presented in this post, is Trash! If we are going to go after guns, then we have to go after other things that are contributing to this flawed culture.

Only insane people cannot separate reality from a video game. I first played GTA3 when I was 11. I haven't gone on any mass murder sprees, despite the enormous fun of going around and murdering random people.

Blood and gore isn't absolutely necessary to have fun. Blood is a real thing. If I shoot someone, i expect blood, guts and gore.
