I always had this image of Japan as a very advanced, high tech country but these guys are fukking up big time. I knew something was up when France had to send a robot to Japan to help with the Fukushima plant. Sending a robot to Japan :picard:

They need to stop investing all their R&D money on sex robots, dirty panties vending machines and octopus porn and do something productive :damn:
Most of Japan still uses Cash only, with only the big business and some smaller using card.

And the biggest shock that I've heard of is that many Japanese towns are coming to the problem of having only seniors; forcing some real estate agents to give away free houses to young people if they agree to stay in the town for a decade; because not enough kids are being born to replace the aging population.

Japan at times has failed to catch up to modern times.

Japan is stuck in the 80s-90s in many ways. If you think about it, that was their heyday...the peak of their world influence. Things worked so well for them at that time, so they refuse to change.

All their taxis are 1995 Toyotas, most of the buildings are outdated, and the fax shyt is real. I’ve been asked to fax things that could easily be emailed in the offices I’ve worked in.

Yall peep how White House tours ain’t started back up.....but they want you to get YO ass back to work?

:usure:

Someone should ask Trump about that. He probably give you the BS response like "You guys are strong. So young and strong. A few people with the coronavirus isnt gonna hurt the population, but stay away from me. Stop with the fake news and CNN!"

You are right. We need innovation to work around this. The economy is after all just people providing goods and services. We have to think of ways that we can still get as much as possible done.

Random example: In Romania they plan to reduce office density by having as many people as possible work from home and then for the rest they split into two groups who each work in split legs in the office for 15 day stretches at a time. That might not work so well in open plan western offices but in Romania where smaller older offices dominate with 3 -4 people in each that could reduce you to 1 or 2 people working in an office at a time. Then the government has agreed to pay 75% of the lost salary. Add to that working at weekends, max use of PPE and regular cleaning it might work for some companies. Similarly using the same split shift approach we could extend working hours to around the clock and weekends to thin the working staff density.

A breh has been telling brehs that creative thinking is needed... Creative thinking can help things progress a long way. Throw out old conventions and customs.

From today in the UK
