Something like 10% of cases require hospitalization. Do some napkin math and please dont downplay this to people you know. Just keep your mouth shut

i hope they do the same tracking over here for this national day of prayer garbage. should be national stay your ass home day.

Do y’all really think that America is so special that we won’t end up seeing infection rates like these other major countries?

is it just that notion of “everything will work our okay” that Americans seem to have?

Like...how can anyone look at the world around them right now and think we are going to be exempt from the nightmare that other places (that have been doing more than us to stop the spread mind you) have been experiencing?

this is why i chose to self quarantine, I trust that people will be bull-headed, ignorant and negligent to assist this virus in spreading further. when i finally left home after 9 days to go to the market i only saw 2 other people wearing gloves and masks. theres no telling the number of people who touched those shopping cart handles and then their face especially kids.:lupe:
You had it too breh? Glad you’re better.

2300 cases but y'all talking about 1000 death a weak. :mjlol:

2300 cases? USA already up to 3000+ known cases. This shyt moving faster than you think.

Coronavirus Update (Live): 162,588 Cases and 6,069 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer

Italy was back at 3000 known cases on March 4. They had 10,000 cases by March 10 and already broke 21,000 known cases today. Of course they can't test them nearly fast enough to keep up.

Back on March 4 when Italy had 3000 known cases, they only had 107 deaths, not much more than our current number of 60 known deaths. Over the next three days another 118 people died, since then they've had 150-250 deaths every day. That's 1300+ deaths in the last week and it may not have peaked yet.

Think Italy is an unusual case, reacted too slow? Spain hit 3000 cases on March 12, just 3 days ago. To that point they'd only had 55 deaths but they reported an additional 31 deaths on that day. Then the next two days they had another 110 deaths. Today? 95 deaths in one day.

Iran just reported another 1200 cases and 113 deaths yesterday alone.

France hit 3000 cases for the first time two days ago. Yesterday alone they had 30 more deaths.

So the USA has only had 8 deaths a day the last couple days. But they just hit 3000 cases today. It's entirely possible we see 20-30 deaths a day within the next couple days and, if our experience is as bad as Europe's, 100 or more deaths/day within a week.

This. The actual number of cases is probably far higher. Also I've been hearing a lot of cases of people having the symptoms but cannot get tested when going to the hospital. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of people who've died from complications associated with virus already. Without adequate testing there is really no way of knowing.
I think the administration is trying to keep the number of cases artificially low. We should all operate under the assumption that there is a large number of people walking around with virus but dont even know it.
Absolutely to all of this.

Hell, I’m behaving under the assumption that I have it. I’m leaving today to fill up my gas tank and that’s it.

That’s was 12 years ago, I was just reading articles last night on why it’s so bad in Italy and lack of sufficient investment in the health care system was one of the reasons.
Whatever they did tho ours is way worse with Trump literally contracting and defunding CDC pandemic response team
