I think I had a slight head start to this panic mode people are on. I was in australia all last week and saw first hand the toilet paper shortage. People were just starting to raid the stores. I decided to buy some things when i got back in the states, still got some off the shelf that's for worst case (toilet paper, pasta, soup) but there will never be enough to buy in order to not go outside. We all gonna has to confront these shortages soon.

On another note, seeing how the US is fumbling the customs is no surprised. For the first time ever, on the airline gate I was stopped by some special US officials (everyone who was boarding for that matter). I thought they were going to temperature check us and go real thorough, but all they asked was "Did you pack your bags yourself?" "Did you recently have any electronics fixed?" "Were you in main land china?". Really didn't even try. I mean, and especially, if I had gone to mainland china i would not had told them if it meant i can't go home. This gotta better than a verbal test.

Now seeing all those people at O'hare stuck just reminds me how much of a cluster fukk this is and how ill equipped we are to handle it.

It's also on a human level, people still don't cover their mouth when they sneeze and cough. I just don't understand this, and it's the primary means for transmission. Let me first say, i'm on self quarantine, but countless times from melbourne to the US, people have just openly coughed like the shyt caught them by surprise. Up into the air like a water fountain mist of saliva. If we as a society cannot change our simple habits, i don't think there's a real future for our civilization as a whole.

You had it too breh? Glad you’re better.

nah, i didn't have it nor am I currently experiencing symptoms. I just don't want to put myself in a situation where i could contract this virus. self-quarantine is the safest play if you don't want to be a part of any of these statistics. Ain't nowhere I got to be or anyone I gotta see important enough to put myself in harms way.

2300 cases? USA already up to 3000+ known cases. This shyt moving faster than you think.

Coronavirus Update (Live): 162,588 Cases and 6,069 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer

Italy was back at 3000 known cases on March 4. They had 10,000 cases by March 10 and already broke 21,000 known cases today. Of course they can't test them nearly fast enough to keep up.

Back on March 4 when Italy had 3000 known cases, they only had 107 deaths, not much more than our current number of 60 known deaths. Over the next three days another 118 people died, since then they've had 150-250 deaths every day. That's 1300+ deaths in the last week and it may not have peaked yet.

Think Italy is an unusual case, reacted too slow? Spain hit 3000 cases on March 12, just 3 days ago. To that point they'd only had 55 deaths but they reported an additional 31 deaths on that day. Then the next two days they had another 110 deaths. Today? 95 deaths in one day.

Iran just reported another 1200 cases and 113 deaths yesterday alone.

France hit 3000 cases for the first time two days ago. Yesterday alone they had 30 more deaths.

So the USA has only had 8 deaths a day the last couple days. But they just hit 3000 cases today. It's entirely possible we see 20-30 deaths a day within the next couple days and, if our experience is as bad as Europe's, 100 or more deaths/day within a week.
