Half measures are exactly why this pandemic shows no signs of slowing down. So kids can run around school infected with no concern for the faculty?

In the agency I work for its funded by head start.
Everybody needed to be fully vaxxed by Friday, We lost 4 people due to it (out of 270). Its the best the agency can do. Do I agree with it? Absolutely not.
You are 100% correct kids can carry it get someone sick it spreads and people can die because of it. Vaccine or not.

Virtual learning is failing (and will fail) these kids in the long run. More and more will continue to fall by the wayside, and IMO that's the other tragic effect of living with covid...

Everybody loses. No one wins.

Breh, it's pretty well established by now that as long as kids are masked etc you're probably safer in the school than out and about. Not to mention vaccines are widely available and vaccinated are not dying. We have to react to the situation at hand, not the worst case scenario you can imagine.
My kids school requires masks. Haven't heard of any teachers catching it. For first 3 months I got an email from the school saying a kid tested positive. I think at least 4 times total. 2 in my oldest daughter's class and 2 in my youngest daughter's class. No one else caught it and everyone in the school seems to be safe with the mask requirement.

How long did you guys have between 2nd dose and booster shot ? They recommend 5 months minimum over here

I had my 2nd shot in June, got my booster a week ago.

Though Walgreens in my area had just opened up for all adults and not a specific group, so I booked my appointment as soon as possible.

Probably gonna get real bad soon.

They are not gonna do another lock down and have to pass out stimulus checks and unemployment.

People just gone die. Hospitals gone be fukked until covid reaches its peak fukkery level and retreats on its own:mjcry:

:snoop:

There's still a tremendous amount of children younger than 18 who have not been vaccinated.

Those kids interact with other people. It's not just about them. I'm not going back and forth on this. :snoop:

Breh even during the worst of the worst time in early 2020, before vaccines etc kids dying was extraordinarily rare.

Now there are vaccines. Many kids have taken them. And of course all adults should be vaccinated by now.

At this point if you're dying from covid I consider it closer to suicide than anything else.
