So as I have explained before, I struggle with my family (Mom in particular) and her POV these days. She isn't the same woman who raised me and we have very different views on what's going on.
She is an avid Trump supporter, as much as a 70yo living on SSI and other programs to make it can be. She's also a Christian and that slants her views as well. In November, she went to the Doc and had some spots on her lungs that they feared may be cancerous. She made an appointment to be seen (using Medicare/Medicaid) and the best they could do was see her in Feb.
However, just after her first Doc visit in Nov, all her social programs were canceled (SSI/MC/SNAP). She now has no insurance at all and they canceled her appt in Feb. IMO, she's a potential candidate to catch CV because of her age and the fact that she's got something going on with her lungs right now.
And then she posts sh*t like this today on FB:
I love my mother dearly and it will be all bad when it's finally that time. But how do you reach people like this?
Luckily with no benefits, she is basically stuck at home right now but who knows what will happen...

Didn't answer his question... not if they can get the virus, but has any African DIED from the virus. The truth is for the continent of Africa they really could careless considering they have harsher viruses they are dealing with than COVID-19 and they haven't shut down their ways of life.
I have no faith that this will be handled well by the population here to help get through it quickly as possible

My bad, that's not at all what I meant.
What I meant is that Trump becoming president should've been seen as a farce, or temporary blunder for our country. However, Trump still having a shot of being elected to a second term suggests that this isn't temporary at all. This country might really be on its last legs.
Moms moved to the South @ 20 years ago....that has definitely affected her views and she has a 'follower' personality type anyway so...
