Stay strong fam...So more personal sh*t, cause we all family B....
So as I have explained before, I struggle with my family (Mom in particular) and her POV these days. She isn't the same woman who raised me and we have very different views on what's going on.
She is an avid Trump supporter, as much as a 70yo living on SSI and other programs to make it can be. She's also a Christian and that slants her views as well. In November, she went to the Doc and had some spots on her lungs that they feared may be cancerous. She made an appointment to be seen (using Medicare/Medicaid) and the best they could do was see her in Feb.
However, just after her first Doc visit in Nov, all her social programs were canceled (SSI/MC/SNAP). She now has no insurance at all and they canceled her appt in Feb. IMO, she's a potential candidate to catch CV because of her age and the fact that she's got something going on with her lungs right now.
And then she posts sh*t like this today on FB:
I love my mother dearly and it will be all bad when it's finally that time. But how do you reach people like this?
Luckily with no benefits, she is basically stuck at home right now but who knows what will happen...
Ill take President Hunter Hearst Helmsley at this point tbfh
privileged white man 101. in the chapter about getting out of trouble it says blame the black man. What does Obama have to do with all of this? How stupid is this motherfukker Trump? He hasn’t been in office for close to 4 years, his duty is served as president. It’s TRUMP’s responsibility to make sure something like this doesn’t happen in the U.S.
actually, from this CNN article im reading
Debunking the coronavirus myths and misinformation - CNN
Myth: Black people don't get coronavirus
Reality: Anyone can get coronavirus.
Any person who comes into close contact with someone who is infected is at risk for contracting the virus, according to the CDC.
Take it from Dr. Jennifer Caudle, an African American family medicine physician and on-air health expert who has also been debunking coronavirus myths. Caudle said she worries that some people may not take proper precautions to protect themselves against the virus because they may have heard this myth.
"Black people can get coronavirus, just like other people," she told CNN.
Curious, how does America getting crippled domestically help the president get reelected
