This incompetence from top to down from this president and his administration. :snoop:

Like I said yesterday I work for a federal agency right,

I work from home or telework three out of 5 days

I usually come into the office at 6:30 am, wake up 4 AM, leave 5:15 am and get on public transportation by 5:20. I do this to leave at 3 pm due to family obligations.

So I follow my normal schedule since these people refuse to give us telework 5 days and to stop aiding in the spread of this corona business.

So I get to the office at 6:30 today and I log into my work computer and see an email from the agency saying the building is closed to do a drill (probably corona related). All employees should be teleworking from home today.

But the email was sent 5 AM this morning !!!!. Wtf. :damn:

I know damn well they didnt just get this alert about the building being shut down. :stopitslime:. A email yesterday would have been nice. Could have slept a lil more, could have avoided some exposure to COVD 19 today and avoided this rain and commute hassle :martin:

Now I'm on the train heading home to finish my workday. :francis:Just experienced a schizophrenic going into each subway car talking in mad nikkas face.:francis:

Edit: Apparently they have some text alert system that I never heard of:francis:. I still think they knew about this drill yesterday.

I'm finna sign up asap especially in this climate
I’m not tryna shyt on you, but this sounds like you messed up. You don’t have an email app on your phone that sends alert nor are you part of their emergency alert system.

Idiots. Water supply won't stop even if there's a mandate to quarantine everyone :snoop:

People really acting like it's a hurricane coming and gonna destroy everything:snoop:

It’s the only reference they have for this..... shyt it’s the only reference 99% of people have for this.

I’ve never lived through a global pandemic where the experts say “look almost all of us will likely catch this.... we just got to spread it out so we don’t all catch it at once”. We’ve never heard that before as a populace....

That's all true. And obviously this is serious and should be taken as such. But people are crazy misinformed getting their information from Twitter, Facebook or other biased sources. While there are information on these platforms that are coming from real experts, you gotta sift through so many bogus ones to get to them and even if you get to them you don't know if it's taken out of context or not.

People need to go to Johns Hopkins website, the CDC, or other sources that have no bias, filter or incentive to click on their posts.

Legit question: Has any person of African descent died from COVID-19?
actually, from this CNN article im reading :skip:

Debunking the coronavirus myths and misinformation - CNN

Myth: Black people don't get coronavirus
Reality: Anyone can get coronavirus.

Any person who comes into close contact with someone who is infected is at risk for contracting the virus, according to the CDC.
Take it from Dr. Jennifer Caudle, an African American family medicine physician and on-air health expert who has also been debunking coronavirus myths. Caudle said she worries that some people may not take proper precautions to protect themselves against the virus because they may have heard this myth.
"Black people can get coronavirus, just like other people," she told CNN.
