Yea, partially my fault. But I wasnt the only one Even a office manager was there with my azz and came in and had to head back home cause he didnt set up the alerts as well.
Had no clue about their alert system, usually my coworkers in a group chat tell me about office closing or I see the snow outside and know not to come in by calling some hotline number ... But nothing today.
This shyt was kinda unexpected. My five years in that building, they never just shut down without warning like that and if it's a preplanned drill, they usually tell u the day before. Strange to do it at 5 AM.
Anyway, I signed up for the text alert so hopefully, next thing I hear is mandatory telework from here on out.
I mean, this dude been governing for 3 fukking years and would’ve known about any deficiencies and did NOTHING to fix them. This ain’t a video game where you have to level up to new information. Straight up gambling with peoples lives; Truly unbelievable. Trump and his allies/family need this (actual) virus to end them

So as I have explained before, I struggle with my family (Mom in particular) and her POV these days. She isn't the same woman who raised me and we have very different views on what's going on.
She is an avid Trump supporter, as much as a 70yo living on SSI and other programs to make it can be. She's also a Christian and that slants her views as well. In November, she went to the Doc and had some spots on her lungs that they feared may be cancerous. She made an appointment to be seen (using Medicare/Medicaid) and the best they could do was see her in Feb.
However, just after her first Doc visit in Nov, all her social programs were canceled (SSI/MC/SNAP). She now has no insurance at all and they canceled her appt in Feb. IMO, she's a potential candidate to catch CV because of her age and the fact that she's got something going on with her lungs right now.
And then she posts sh*t like this today on FB:
I love my mother dearly and it will be all bad when it's finally that time. But how do you reach people like this?
Luckily with no benefits, she is basically stuck at home right now but who knows what will happen...
