I really don't expect things to start getting better until 2023. Most worldwide pandemics in the past didn't end quickly, so there's no reason for me to think this one will.

Sheesh we can't be living like this for 2 years people are gonna kill themselves and go deep into a real depression.

This will definitely result in a lot of mental and emotional damage that we won't know the full scope of till a decade later. Nobody wanted this, but unfortunately this is where we are.

That's sad, not gonna even lie this whole thing has kind of took a toll on my mental a bit but i'm trying to learn to deal with it for the time being. I'm hoping for things to turn around quicker. I know people got it way worse though.

Even homebodies and introverts are getting sick of this shyt.

:sadcam:

I'm fortunate enough to have a ton of hobbies to keep me occupied. I feel bad for those who are use to only working and hitting up the bars.

I’m a true homebody and it’s getting really annoying. I still go out for long walks even biking if the weather is good but it doesn’t feel right or the same really. I’m just figuring ways to keep occupied while these days pass.

I am struggling working from home. I work with a lot of different people and not being able to ask them stuff face to face results in a lot of wasted time on my part.
I wish I was in some shyt like compliance where all you do is say yay or nay on policy and don't have the deadlines I have now. those people take off at 5pm no matter what the deadline.
I need to learn some programming - and continue reading - I have a goal of 40 books this year but may up it if this keeps up.
Also I have a summer trip planned this summer in CA which ain't looking good at this point.

You keep making that point, but another way to consider it would be. If not for the first lockdown in California and NY, how much worse could things have gotten.

I have a friend in California whose father in law died and she has been given a 2 week (at least) timeline before he can be cremated.

We might have been looking at bodies in the streets.
