:dead: thats me

i still think the mask shyt is over by april. or at least feel free to keep requiring them at walmart and the grocery store so people can feel safe shopping, but just let people fukkin go out like human beings on the weekend. people arent gonna accept this shyt anymore

"2 weeks to slow the spread" turned into over a year :beli: and for what? california's shining example of results?

That's the problem right there. That type of attitude is why this shyt ain't going away and 100% this is Trump's fault for politicizing covid and convincing people about "MaH FReE DuMbZ! oPeN EvErYthIngZ! mAsKs KiLL!"

Another reason is the west ain't use to these viruses. South East Asian countries are. They be like "another coronavirus? Aight we know the deal" and they follow guidelines as a unit. Why do you think these asian countries are dam near back to normal without a vaccine? I've traveled around SEA even before covid and locals wore masks and stayed away from each other like what we are seeing in the US today.

You keep making that point, but another way to consider it would be. If not for the first lockdown in California and NY, how much worse could things have gotten.

I have a friend in California whose father in law died and she has been given a 2 week (at least) timeline before he can be cremated.

We might have been looking at bodies in the streets.

look i know that im "wrong" at the end of the day, but april will have been 14 fukkin months :yeshrug: if there were bodies in the streets in georgia and florida, i dont think kemp and desantis would have been able to hide it. but there arent

i dont see whats unreasonable about letting 20 percent of people go to bars and restaurants, but continuing the mask requirement in schools and grocery stores and essential places. if masks work, then people will be safe when they just leave their house to buy food. or do they not work?

I can't speak to the US, but in the UK they traced a lot of cases to the opening of bars and shops.

I dont know what to believe anymore. This shyt is draining.

Thats said, opening stores in florida may be differently in terms of population density to NY or LA

but here in the US, the numbers said only 1.8 percent of cases were traced to restaurants. and cuomo refused to release the data because it would mean he was wrong :dead:

Restaurants and Bars Account for 1.4 Percent of COVID-19 Spread in New York

im not some dumbass "my freedoms" redneck but we have to move towards a point where theres masks zones and non mask zones. ill happily wear a mask at the grocery store for another 5 years, if i can also choose to not wear one in a non essential setting

or whatever. im not out here complaining about it, but people will be done with it by march. trust me  so we can be reasonable about it or not

There is a six week backlog on Florida's testing so what you see if months behind + DeSantis and Kemp both caught heat early for altering their numbers

what we see is that everything is open in florida, and everything is closed in california, and they're in roughly the same position :yeshrug:

is that not true? have i missed the stories on floridas restaurant staff being devastated by the virus, or did it just not happen?
