To date, Liberia, a country of some 5 million, has 1,335 cases and around 82 deaths.

Senegal has a population of 16 million, but has only 302 registered deaths. Several countries have come up with innovations. Rwanda, a country of 12 million, also responded early and aggressively to the virus, using equipment and infrastructure that was in place to deal with HIV/AIDS. Testing and treatment for the virus are free. Rwanda has recorded only 26 deaths.

They have MUCH better numbers than my state (maryland) which supposedly is supposed to be one of the better run states with this covid shyt.

One of my friends was telling me we are going to have a cold winter this year.

I'm already stocking up on food and other supplies in case things get worse than the 1st wave.

I am anticipating with Mask fatigue, more people will just stop wearing it and thinking they can take on the virus. I only go to the store at night now, where there is less people.

shyt about to be like THE THING; "Was that just a sniffle or do you have Corona" paranoia when bodies keep dropping with no vaccine in sight. :wow:

Believe it or not, people fukking hated the movie. John Carpenter lost the directing job for FIRESTARTER as it bombed; people thought it was too grim, nihilistic when you had movies like E.T. providing a more friendly, optimistic view on Aliens.

But as time went on, the movie is now ICONIC. It's one of those things that teaches anyone; movies, music or art; don't appeal to the fans, make the work YOU want. One could say that The Thing, as a movie, inspired more than E.T.

:manny:Guess some people can't handle the truth. America is the obese capital really.
I have worked with a lot of immigrants over the years and each of them have the same impressions of this country during their time here:

1. American superiority is one of the biggest lies in the world.
2. Healthcare here is not only expensive, but trash too.
3. Damn near everyone is fat.

And when I went to Italy a few years ago there were people at this bar who didn't believe me and my girl were Americans because we were in shape. :dead:
