It's sort of a hypocritical statement, as Whole Foods does have healthy options, but they are very expensive; so low income families cannot afford that. Yet Mackey says that is not the problem, but instead, people should be educated more on those healthy options.
So its like he is saying that poor people are stupid, because they keep on eating McDonalds when they should be eating healthier food.
Plus he is a Libertarian and a believer in Ayn Rand.
