My wife's best friend is a nurse practitioner at UPenn in Philly, says they have two doctors on ventilators suffering from severe respiratory problems. They can't get tests, so the nurses are refusing to see anyone with respiratory symptoms and sending them home to self quarantine now. She said its chaos right now

I work in the Healthcare industry (supplier). Our phones have gone crazy this week with hospitals looking to increase their PO's, new customers looking to buy products, etc. With some of our key products being produced in China we are having to manually allocate inventory today so that we can maintain some level of inventory until we can receive more product from our manufactures.

We have had our 2 largest customers ask us for a 40% increase in the disposable products they buy from us. We were able to give them an additional 5%. No idea where they will find the additional inventory they're looking for, every other supplier that I have conversations with is going through the same inventory allocation process in an attempt to help, but still protect ourselves if our containers are delayed any more than they have been.

General acceleration. 48 hours ago people thought playing in empty stadiums was feasible and realistic..hell more like 18 hours ago.. now that looks completely ridiculous.

Obviously we all know our own situations, but like AZBeauty's where theres no reason she cant work from home except stubborn boomers.. that is going to fall away for a lot of people this weekend

I called my doctor just now, he knows I get colds often and knows I smoke. he said since I dont have a dry cough, monitor very closely but no need to test now, especially since I'm in isolation anyway. told me dont smoke or vape, if I have to take weed keep it to edibles. said to rest and treat it as a regular flu, but if I get dry cough or if it becomes noticeably worse, call back. seems reasonable to me.
