:shaq2:

I would love to see Cornel West and Mike Dyson debate each other.

The wordplay in that debate would be :ohlawd: status.

Them lecture ticket sales must not be looking good this year. Pathetic when people in academia go the 50 cent route to stay relevant. Sharpton sold out. Tell us something we done know like how many dust mites are surveying that scraggly beard. :russ: You cant talk your way out of getting G checked

1st Round Playoff Exits
Yeah the black elites have been mad at Obama for a minute. Point blank, Obama never campaigned off being the black president, he' s just a president who's black...

Politics is rather complex. It's s lot more than what meets the eye, to put in short is really about distorting "reality" by mastering perception...

Al sharpton will body cornel west in a debate, hands down. love him or hate him, i never seen anyone debate as well as sharpton.

people i have seen him dead, in their own backyard:

Bill O Reilly
Sean Hannity.

those two fox clowns never lose, yet sharpton back in the day would go on their show and jujitsu them

or remember the time tavis called into al's show about something he had said about sharpton, and the rev treated him like his son.

cornel don't want it with al, even if i agree with cornels overall criticisms of Obama. cornel gonna stay well aways from the rev.

something don't add up

u got foxnews/conservative radio saying bam is da welfare pres who gives free shyt to his people's

while

u got west/smiley saying bam hasn't done shyt for & ignoring his people's

:manny: my nikka can't win

Exactly. Cornel and Tavis don't realize Obama already getting hit from all types of angles. Unwarranted and warranted criticisms are aimed at the Prez daily. Last thing he needs is respected "black intellectuals" bashing him. Alright you said what you said, now keep it moving.

So Sharpton openly admits that he wont criticize Obama at all? :snoop:

Obama never said he was going to be the Preisdent of Black America, this is true, but why does it seem like whenever he is addressing an exclusively black audience he is talking down to them? Am I imagining that? I think it's fair to ask why he can address things like gay rights so forcefully and try to push through garbage like the "dream act" for latinos meanwhile whenever the plight of black americans is brought up the instant reaction is ":whoa: he's the President for all Americans, not just Blacks" :shaq2: that's bullshyt to me and I can see how that upsets people.

Why is it that when Obama is addressing black people it's basically "you guys are on your own, you guys are in control of your own destiny," but he can't tell these fukking mexicans to stop coming here illegally? Oh, that's right...he needs the latino vote, while black support is virtually guaranteed.

I don't think the DREAM Act is garbage, but I generally agree with this.

Even for people who support things like the DREAM act or same sex marriage, it's ridiculous to think that those things should hold priority over addressing unemployment in the Black community....I mean, it's a no brainer.

Two totally different situations. What do black people need? All the tools are there for us to succeed, he can't make white people stop being racist, so all he can do is make sure the opportunities are available and motivate us to take advantage of them. Black leaders of all times have given us this same message, "Go out and get it cause the white folks won't give it to you" yet Obama gets flak for it.

Should he go around speaking to black groups about how the "man" is holding them back?

For years black people have fought for equality. Now that we are closer than we've ever been, we want to fault the president for not treating us "special" Obama has done plenty of things for us that, the next ten presidents wouldn't have even thought of.
