The teenager and friends were pulled over for "suspcious activity" which was later specified as their "car smelling like weed". Their car was stopped and they were told to exit the vehicle which they legally refused to do. They were then threatend with violence if they did not exit the vehicle.

What more is there to know?

People according to the laws of this land (LOL) supposedly have the right to refuse search of their vehicle.

The cop then legally (LOL) has the option to request a drug sniffing k-9 to sniff AROUND the car. If the K-9 gives signal that drug odor is present then and only then can occupants be forced to exit vehicle.
