I just realized that Bron has spent pretty much his entire career playing with aggressive and sometimes hardheaded guards (Hughes, Wade, Chalmers, Waiters, JR, Kyrie, Westbrook) and soft or defential bigs (Zydrunus, Bosh, Love, AD).

Worked out well enough for four rings, but he probably wishes it had been aggressive bigs and deferential guards instead.
Does playing with LeBron create this dynamic?
I would wager that's the natural order of things. You are gonna get more passive bigs because the bar of entry to become a big in the league is lower than it is for a guard. To stand out from the pack and become good enough to make the league let alone be considered as a good to great player as a smaller guy requires more dog than it does for a big man.

All of those players have been the same guys whether they were on Bron's team or not. All the guards I named were already know as either aggressive players or hard-headed long before they ever played on Bron's teams. And all of the bigs I named were already known as focused on midrange shots and being defensively meh more than banging inside long before they ever played with Bron, outside of AD who was known as injury-prone and inconsistent.

It more seems to be just random chance of who was available at the time as well as, like @Raw Sauce insightfully pointed out, most bigs in the NBA are likely just softer than the guards because they had to beat out a lot less competition to make it to that level.

You're definitely right, but that's a basketball insight not a soap opera hot take, so most of the posters here aren't going to dap it.

I appreciate Bron’s contributions but I’m ready for him, Klutch and his Stans to leave. They literally put the cape on for his bullshyt and make excuses for everything he does. At least Kobe fans were mentally competent to know he was wrong for that Bynum shyt even though he had no clue. Bron fans will tell u it’s Russ fault that Bron uses the media to tear down Russ character. They’ll tell u his foot is hurt to justify him skipping games but Bron has been on a 48 hour nightclub binge.

But when Ham turned his attention to Westbrook and his specific individual struggles, sources say the future Hall of Famer appeared to take it personally,” Amick and Buha wrote. “As had been the case so many times before, when the coaching staff struggled with Westbrook’s unwillingness to be held accountable for his play, Westbrook wasn’t hearing it.

“Ham, sources say, was upset at a number of on-court developments from the first half. But the final straw, it seems, was Westbrook’s choice to walk off the court so slowly after he was replaced late in the second quarter. For both parties, the topic of great disagreement centered on respect — or lack thereof. In the end, with the tension in the room adding to the toxicity of their environment yet again, they agreed to disagree.”

Could have been the coaches who leaked shyt to the media. Y’all just hate bron and 2 days ago y’all hated Russ lol

It’s probably Phil handy, ham has defended Russ more than most

Or just maybe we can point the finger to the person who uses the same tactic every year with the same reporter

:snoop:

last time i checked darvin ham wasn't on the team last year when the hit article came out about bron wanting demar derozan initially and was stunned when they got russ(which is a blatant lie)
