Realistically, what should we trade AD for?

Since they’re going young and Bron can’t play forever, u keep going younger. If Boston flames out, I see if Jaylen Brown is available. Memphis is another team. See if you can get picks, Zaire Williams and Tyus Jones. U can get Kuminga and Poole for AD.

AD isn’t a number 2 tho. Number 2s can hold it down when number 1s are out. Look at our record with AD and without Bron. Kyrie is a number 2. Paul George is a number 2. AD is just a guy who’s better than most players at his position. Unfortunately he’s getting paid like he’s elite and he’s not.
I think you're going overboard.. He's still elite, he's just not "Top 5 MVP" level that he was in the bubble and to begin the year. That's the bar he needs to clear, cause he's clearly capable, and he hasn't besides a few stretches in a game since coming back from injury

:dahell:

that's exactly what he should do. play the winnable game against the team you're fighting against for a playoff spot and sit against the team you have little chance of beating at full strength. This pathetic team just folded against OKC but the plan made sense
They’re fighting with the Win Loss column …all that head to head shyt is really irrelevant ..they can’t afford scheduled losses

Well where does the line start and end for elite because you can’t say Giannis is elite and in the same breath say AD is elite.

What other "elite" player in their prime (he's 29) is always talked about like, "well, if *insert player* plays like we know he's capable of..." besides Day-to-Dayvis? You never know which version of him is going to show up on any given night.

What pisses me off about AD is the lack of effort. He’s not Russ where Russ talent is diminishing which comes with age especially for PGs. AD has the talent but dude is out there like he doesn’t want to hoop. It’s telling that he’s more animated on the bench when he’s injured than when he’s on the court.

It's weird how LeBron has stood by him this entire time. He was ruthless with every other teammate in his career. Even left Dwyane Wade high and dry in Miami.

Especially at his age, why hasn't he gone to the front office/ownership and said, "I can't rely on this guy; I'm fine if you trade him"?

No matter what Bron says, I think he’s content with how shyt is. Like bean in his last years. He wants to win yea but he’s also seeing the finish line. Bron was highly motivated by that scoring record, u can almost see the weight lifted once he got it. I don’t think dude gonna kill himself to win anymore.

Who is he going to tell them to trade AD for?

No one is going to give you equal value back, for the same reasons you're upset at him. All the guys doing what you want AD to do are either too elite to trade or young players on young teams who don't want to get older.

The best I could imagine is convincing the Heat that they're going to get a healthy AD and should give up Bam for him. But that would only work if the Lakers were really down on AD at the same time that the Heat were up on him.

I just want guys who compete and stay on the floor.

If Bron pushed to trade AD the Lakers are headed to the lottery. Quite frankly we'd be there now if he didn't have that stretch of games he had prior to the last injury. AD plays with plenty of effort it just looks awkward because this team does absolutely nothing to get him good looks consistently. It's all iso/face-up with occasional lobs and he still scores 27ppg despite that.

They're idiots. Why would you want to play him against ones of the title favorites from the other conference rather than playing him against the team you're actually battling with for a playoff spot?

He's 38yo and playing hurt. It obviously helps the team more to sit him when possible so he can actually contribute the other games. If they were Laker fans they'd be pissed off at AD and Ham while being grateful that Bron is still elite every time he's in... but they have bigger agendas going on.
So basically the strategy is to rest Bron against a good teams where we need him and let him beat up on bad teams we should be able to beat without him? Makes no fukkin sense. Why make the playoffs if you can't beat good teams at full strength?

I don't think some of you realize what you got in D'lo

he a closer 91% free throw and can hit the mid range can rub the offense not a pure point but he can do it and play the 2 ...26 years old and he not super athletic so that means he can play like this for years

look at these plays

now think of him with

AD
Bron
Rui
Bamba
vanndo
beasly

low key i think they will re-sign d'lo lonnie reavves

even when Bron is gone for good and if AD gets hurt its enough to win games

look at this
