AD will be back by early February now

"Lakers star Anthony Davis is aiming to return to the lineup by early February, within a handful of games before the All-Star break, league sources say. Davis has been sidelined since Dec. 16 due to a stress reaction and bone spur injury in his right foot. Davis had played like an MVP candidate prior to the injury, with season averages of 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 blocks and a career-high 59.4 percent field goal shooting."

Trade for Bogdanovic now and get ready to make a run after Day-to-Dayvis gets back. If that bozo gets injured again down the stretch, trade him in the summer to recoup picks/players in the summer.
Agreed. The Lakers can probably get at least 3 draft picks for him from some naive team. So the team's future draft prospects wouldnt be completely fukked for a decade. Then sign players and build a team around Lebron this summer. Hopefully Kyrie still wants to come to LA but it's looking less likely with how good the Nets are right now.

That's worst case scenario. Best case is he doesn't get injured again, picks right back up with his MVP caliber peformances with LA entering the playoffs as 3rd or 4th seed. And make an unexpectedly deep run.

We'll probably land somewhere in the middle though. the bone spur is still there so AD will probably be on some Kawhi type load management. His injury was a stress reaction so overuse is the enemy for those

Give me Rozier. We need a microwave scorer in the worst ways. Once Bron sits, these dudes be so shook of scoring.

The Lakers are going to have a lot of trade opportunities..... The Lakers have assets (Picks, expiring contracts, solid bench players-Bryant, Walker, Reaves)......Many teams are going to be looking to move players to clear up cap space, especially players that are going to be FA or have players options (Turner, Vanvleet, etc...)....I wouldn't be surprised if Phoenix blows it up....I think Indiana is going to make an attempt to acquire Collins or Ayton...If that's the case. The lakers need to get in on the action and help facilitate a trade to get the pieces that they need,

There's no feasible trade that get's the Lakers anything more than a first round elimination.

Bron playing like this, healthy AD playing like he was before he got hurt, and a couple pieces would beat the fukk out of a lot of good teams.

Basically, they just need to trade for guys who won't be turnstiles on defense, have 2-3 players hit their shots, and Bron/AD will do the rest. Biggest issue with that scenario isn't the lack of talent, it's the unlikely scenario that Bron/AD are both 100% when the playoffs start AND the Lakers front office actually goes all-in on the right trades.
