He's doing EXACTLY what I said would be his ideal role since 2019 - a volume scorer for a lottery team. He adds nothing this team actually needs.

Don't oversell it breh, Bryant is still just barely an above-replacement-value player. He gives back nearly as much on defense as he does on offense. There's a reason why four Lakers scored 20+ points with two of them going over 30 and it still took last-second free throws to win the game.

What kind of contract do you think Thomas Bryant will command on the market?

And would you retain him.

Problem with Bron's comment is none of that shyt matters if AD isnt healthy. He's gotta have a real conversation about if AD is gonna be healthy and ready to roll.

With these role players playing better the trade question gets more tricky.

Ideally you want to keep cap space to retain some of these guys.

Plus depending on the quality of the buyout market you might not need a trade if the role players keep playing well.

I think a small trade involving Lonnie, Nunn, and Damian might be the best bet.

They have to keep Thomas Bryant at all costs him and Bron have terrific chemistry if he wants 8-12 million I would give it to him.

Bron and Russ has really unlocked this dude’s skillset. Unbelievable hands, fast as fukk, soft touch and now unleashing the J. Not to mention he’s a beast on the boards and even though he can’t protect the rim he’s been trying like hell..

I think someone in the LA media has to have the courage to fire back that point to Bron

Put the pressure back on him and Klutch.

I will say Bryant makes it so we really dont have to play AD more than 30 mins in the regular season.

The Lakers need to go ahead and sign Cousins to see if he can provide some interior defense better than what Thomas Bryant gives you.
Well that and you hope Russ/Bron improves Cousins efficiency. Cause even at is peak he wasnt the most efficient.

Bryant being able to finish these plays makes the offense so productive. Then again its tough to keep playing him so many mins defensively

Right, another option the Lakers could pursue is a trade for Poeltl. Lonnie Walker/ Nunn/ Damian Jones and a first for Poelt.

He would stabilize the interior and raise the floor on the defense.

The only problem is that he might not resign next year.

They probably promised LeBron when he resigned.
Also, don't you guys realize that the only players signed next year are Bron, AD, and Jones?

Lakers actually need to be involved in the trade deadline just to make filling the roster out easier for the summer.

Also, be angry at your front office for being so cheap that probably nobody besides Reaves will re signed in the summer.

Agreed. Bron is high-key stat padding when he does that.

This is why I don't believe him when he said he doesn't have the scoring title on his mind lol

Bron loves his stats as much as many player that’s played the game. I guarantee you he knows every milestone has to get. But I gotta give credit he never goes overboard...he’s left countless triple doubles on the table. Never was Blatant like Russ with his stats...
