I think that's a pipe dream with the salary cap going up next year. Sabonis signed that contract in 2019 as his rookie extension, he'd be getting more now.

It all depends on what you can get. No one should be off the table honestly.

I can't see Thomas Bryant making over 13-15 million to be honest.

They need to move AD. As ridiculous as that sounds…you just have to do it. He's only getting older. If he can't stay healthy in his prime years, what makes you think he can do that in his 30's?

Bron finna retire in two years I think..AD will not deliver anything to LA without Bron.

I hate to big up a scumtic, but if Ainge was in the front office AD would’ve been gone after that Wizards game in DC. It’s pretty crazy that we had the best case scenario of AD playing good enough to raise his trade stock and we fumbled the bag on this insane idea that Always Down is able to stay healthy for longer than four weeks at a time.

Who does Lebron want them to trade for I wonder?

I know Klutch has been dropping stories to try and pry away Lavine or Derozan but I don't see the Bulls going that route.

I think the front office might have to settle for Bojan of the Pistons I think that would appease Lebron enough.

It would eat into the cap space though.

Thats why if Im Lakers media I fire back two very important questions to LeBron.

1. Do you believe AD can stay healthy for a title run?
2. Are YOU capable of leading a title run if the Lakers trade AD for other major assets?

This being such a down year I'd roll the dice on a for sure healthy star instead of AD......if Bron was 32.

Bron's gotta address if he really thinks he can win a championship without AD (either he's hurt or you trade for someone thats not a superstar)

Facts, if we real AD is the source for all this. The Russ trade doesn’t happen if AD isn’t such a brittle disappointment. I honestly feel bad for Bron because he really believed that AD could help him age out gracefully and that ain’t the case.

Plus as a Laker fan, it’s embarrassing to see a legend in the game go out like this whether it’s Bron or someone else cuz it don’t bode well for our future if we want to keep getting superstar players.

Bottom line is for all the grief that Bron gets, Russ gets, and so on there needs to be ten times that for AD. He’s the common denominator from fans pissed we lost our young talent, to Bron being pissed he can’t contend, to fans on the backend being pissed that we’ve gotta give up what’s left of the future on a fukkin gamble. Forget Russ, AD the one that should be chased outta town.

A third "star" and salary would be stupid. The best way to contend is two stars and a bunch of quality role players.

I agree the Lakers need to be targeting high impact role players on value contracts like Alec Burks and a defensive center that makes less than 10 million.

I'm just tired of everyone constantly shutting on the 1 player that was dealt a bad hand on the Lakers despite him being the most productive in limited minutes.

A lot of you nikkas don't know what it means to have heart.
