I said this forever ago but now it's blatantly obvious Lakers shouldn't resign DLo
He sucks
Contract year hoodwinking ass player
I wonder what team will get fooled into giving him 100mil
If he gets more than Brunson :dead:

It's a good thing that basketball is a team sport and not 1v1 or 2v2 huh.

You'd have a point if the teams are pretty evenly matched, but the numbers and eye test are screaming that DLO can't be on the floor and he still is.

You're not that big of an idiot

At some point this series, you will say something that actually hits. Superstars win games. Jimmy Butler has shown us the past month. Nuggets are showing it this series. DLo sucks, we get that. LeBron and AD have done nothing to drive us home and win games this series. Two things can be true at once, saying that we're losing this series because of DLo is beyond a cop out to avoid talking about what everyone else sees.

Since you didn't want to answer my question:

Best players this series:

Jamal Murray
Jokic

Its really over….

They gave all they had against Golden State and Russell, Walker, and Schroeder have now all come back to earth. Reaves is the only role player REALLY playing like he’s still got oil in the engine and Rui is giving it the ole college try but this is the end of the road for this season.

Three things i’d recommend in the offseason

Find a way to resign Reaves

Do NOT resign Russell under any circumstances

Do NOT do something wacky and crazy to sign Kyrie Irving.
If you let Russell go, you can't replace him with anything. It's best to re-sign him so he can be moved at a later date. If anything, his play this series should be good for Rob Pelinka negotiating contract terms.

D Lo and Vanderbilt are both useful for regular season as they were after the ASB. One can give you 20-25 especially when you got two stars who play 50 games. Vandebilt can shut down the best opposing wing but both are unplayable in playoffs. Very easy to make Vanderbilt useless when he gives you nothing on offense. At worst, he has to improve on his cutting and finishing. You can't just be a bad shooter and then a bad finisher too. D'Angelo has just never played well in playoffs, his #s go down every year. FO will most likely re-sign D'Angelo and hope to trade him by the deadline. Just can't lose him for nothing.

Bron is basically even +/- for the series despite starting alongside D-Lo who is a fukking -55. Lakers are ahead every game in the minutes where D-Lo ain't on the court.

Yes, Bron is 38 and doesn't have 40-point triple doubles in him anymore. He's still playing very well on both ends. Comparing him to a 32yo Kobe who played like dogshyt on both ends in 2011 is disingenuous as hell.

Has Bron been better than Jamal Murray this series?

Your charts told me he was a lot better these playoffs. :sas2:

The point is running through the East vs the west ain’t the same
Going by this lowbrow logic then the big bad Western Conference should be ashamed considering they let a near 40 year old man with compounding injuries get here in the first place.

What are we even doing here? We’re using grandpa Bron losing to the Nuggets as some kinda evidence to invalidate his 9 ECF trips where he was 5+ years younger and far better? Y’all are this shameless?

You stick that 2018 Bron on this Lakers team and Denver gets swept.

in the short term, he's killing you though.

That's like trading for Ben Simmons now since "hey, that contract will be appealing in a year"

And don't pick up Beasley's option either.

At 17, there will be plenty of wings you can draft who can replace Beasley's production.

End of discussion

The discussion was ended after game 1 when you said we found the formula to win. I'm just kicking a dead body right now. You can lie to yourself all you want, it doesn't bother me. You got your own personal agenda, when bron retires, you're moving on. I gotta support this team for the rest of my life.

That's why I'm pushing for a sign and trade. But I doubt any team would give up anything of value for him.

WCF and nba finals are the same now?
ya'll are so committed to a narrative you ain't thinking straight. flabby sick and Bron is in the WCF as the 7th seed. Instead of that suggesting he would do fine in the conference in his prime you think it means the opposite knowing that dude is washed right now.
