It’s nice to see some people still keeping up hope but I’m honestly not tryna set myself up for disappointment. This team has the next two games to prove that they can legit win this thing.

Lakers losing will not be that bad because I did not even expect them to be here after that 2-10 start. The only thing to be disappointed in is if they don't go down at least fighting.
Some adjustments that might help the Lakers:
1. More Lebron rest. The team in the playoffs has been okay with him off the court and hasn't bled too much. He needs more rest, especially in Denver.
2. More Rui minutes, especially with Bron/AD on the floor. He needs to play 30+. WIth them three able to switch on Joker, the Nuggets offense has been terrible.
3. Less AD crashing for O-boards. Stopping the Nuggets fastbreak should be the priority. AD should focus on making sure Jokic can't initiate a fastbreak rather than going for hopeless rebounds.
If they can do those three things effectively it'll be 2-2 going back to Denver.

The difference is the Heat have a prime Jimmy Jordan
AD owns Bam, and the Lakers have more wing defenders to throw at Jimmy than in 2020.
Heat are a much better matchup than the Celtics.

Kinda disproves the theory that some want to push here that role players need to step up doesn’t it if Jimmy is doing this with that roster

He needs to be the best playoff Bron he can be. He needs to be aggressive offensively and take at least 25 shots a game. Put pressure on the defense in the paint, stop taking so many threes, make the right pass when the defense collapses (which he always does)... bottom line he just has to be more assertive on offense. Stop deferring to Austin Reaves and Dennis Schroeder tf.

I think it's mostly that everyone is aware that this Denver team is legit at home. I know everyone was pretty spoiled by Lakers winning right away on the road, but I'm very much of the mindset that a playoff series doesn't start until a home team loses.
This very much could be a Game 7 type series, and if that's the case I'm happy with our chances.
Lakers have shown that they play IMMENSELY better at home all playoffs. If they lose one of these next couple home games, then I'll officially be "doom and gloom"

Because of the roster we have, we don't have someone who can get those boards (Rui should be but he's just not good at it), or someone who can hang with Jokic while being able to switch on Murray in the PnR (again Rui can't be matched up on Murray and he's the only one who can help with Jokic) and has done a great job basically completely stopping MPJ when he's on him.
While also being the teams only playmaker since DLO is so trash.
Bron has gotta stop the 3's and limit himself to 3-4 max while continuing to set other guys up from the post and try to matchup hunt.
I don't think this team needs Bron to shoot 25 when it takes away so much else this team lacks
