I think it's mostly that everyone is aware that this Denver team is legit at home. I know everyone was pretty spoiled by Lakers winning right away on the road, but I'm very much of the mindset that a playoff series doesn't start until a home team loses.

This very much could be a Game 7 type series, and if that's the case I'm happy with our chances.

Lakers have shown that they play IMMENSELY better at home all playoffs. If they lose one of these next couple home games, then I'll officially be "doom and gloom"

Spoiled is one way of looking at it. But considering how deprived we’ve been this season I took it more like the team trying to convince us to believe. I definitely do agree that it’s not a series until we lose at home. I just don’t like what I’ve seen so far and I don’t like to underestimate teams that haven’t been there before because there can be a deeper hunger driving them at that point.

Right now the first order of business is to hold serve at home. If we can do that then we can take what we learned in those two games and steal one in Denver which we absolutely need to do.

Kinda disproves the theory that some want to push here that role players need to step up doesn’t it if Jimmy is doing this with that roster
Caleb Martin dropped 25 last game. 4 role players scored 15+ in game 1. :dwillhuh:

@Trojan 24 C'mon Breh. I expect better from you. Injured Bucks, LolKnicks, and choking Celtics?

Thats a Jimmy Bron like run to the finals

You’re proving my point. Reaves had 22 and Rui had 21. The role players stepped up but the difference is that Jimmy took over the game late which is what you’re supposed to do as the guy. This is not rocket science. The odds of Rui and Reaves both having 20+ again in the same game is very slim.

Lakers losing will not be that bad because I did not even expect them to be here after that 2-10 start. The only thing to be disappointed in is if they don't go down at least fighting. :francis:
Why do y’all think this? “We” didn’t get blown out:heh:. We’re not outmatched. We just fukking lost. Serious question. Not trying to beef here. have I been in a coma and it’s 3-0 or 3-1??

You're forgetting one major nugget (no pun)

Spo >> Ham at the moment.

We had AD dominant in game 1 and Bron controlled the hell out of that comeback in game 1 as well.

The problem is the Lakers coach self sabotaged with his strategy on Jokic and Murray to start that game. And some would say (@ghostwriterx ) despite the SABO like moments from Bron/AD in game 2 if Ham puts a bigger defender on Murray in the 4th that game goes differently.

Its no coincidence both teams with rookie HCs are the one down right now. However, I think Ham learns from his mistakes quicker. So we still have a chance.

Every game from now until the end of the series is must-win.

These guys have experience with high-stakes situation and pressure since the February playoff push so hopefully they show up and perform.

If not, its been a hell of a run for a team that there were no expectations for :mjcry:

Only thing I hold out hope for is that Ham magically figures it out AND presses the right buttons like in the first two rounds. Aside from let downs from our top guys, I feel a few better choices would’ve had us win game 2 at least.

My real worry is more to do with Bron and AD tho. AD has proven that he can only be relied on every other game and even then his best is probably not good enough for Joker. But Bron being hobbled and washed is what makes this shyt worrisome. Rui and Reaves ain’t ready to carry that type of load. Whatever Bron has left he’s gotta bring it on some Kobe’s last game shyt cuz ain’t no chances after this run.

If Dlo plays avg in games 1/2 the Lakers are up 2-0.

If AD plays avg in game 2 the series is tied 1-1.

If LeBron shot selection is a little better in the 4th maybe the series is tied 1-1.

This is why I'm still confident the Lakers are going to win the series...Both games in Denver were winnable. It's not as if Denver blew LA out.....I expect AD/Dlo to perform better in game 3 which will benefit Lebron later in the game (Fresher legs, more in the tank)...I also don't expect Denver's role players to perform as well on the road.

Low key, Joker didn't do much in the 4th quarters of games 1/2...I think he gets gassed at the end of games but people haven't really talked about it because Denver is up 2-0.

Pre-Injury LeBron I'd feel confident he's getting 30 in 3 quarters tonight, but this version:francis:. Then again pre-injury LeBron and the Lakers are probably up 2-0 right now. :yeshrug: Just have to hope D-Lo and AD show up.
