Yeah only thing I don’t like about this album is the features…Conway delivered though this is some of his best rapping
I also think the features are the weakest aspect. Is it weird that I think Jill Scott came through with the best feature on the album?

I'm sad as a certified Sigel Stan than I wish he wasn't on here :mjcry: TI and Novel aren't doing anything for me on Wild Chapters. Wayne, Benny, and West did their thing.

I actually fukk with Jae Skeese a lot, but I think Crack in the 90's is the best joint by far that Conway, Jae, and 7xve have done together so far. I feel like Roc Marci captured a similar aesthetic on that beat that they were going for here on Drumwork, but just much better. After a few days to sit with it, I think GDMM is a strong 4. I'm still very happy with it.

Gave this shyt another spin

This shyt so mid range :francis:

Production just wack and boring

Not 1 beat worth shyt

nikka rap like he don't even care about the song

His lyrics basically

*people under estimate me
No body cared before
I got shot
:francis:

That lil laugh adlib he does:mjlol:

shyt sounds like when a group of nikkas clowning a nikka

And tha nikka do that lil sarcastic laugh to front like his feelings not hurt:mjlol:

i hate the bullshiit Keisha Plum does so much.
:patrice: I like Babas beat, but idk its not a song I would keep.

beside that i fukk with every Con verse on here and wish this was just him by himself.
beside John Woo Flick (that song made me want another GXFR album)
every other song getting the feature cut off
this was a great listen to me.
I agree except I really fukk with Babas, but I'd rather have Keisha at the end instead of at first. I like Con's verse on that shyt a lot It's grown on me. I'd just like the option to be able to skip through her part if I wanted to without missing anything.

Oh, and Jill Scott legit has my favorite feature on here besides Benny and West. Jill killed that shyt. Not mat at her feature at all. Novel, TI, Wayne, Ross, etc. You can keep all them.

Feel bad saying it too because Sigel's in my top 10 personal favorites of all time, and Jae Skeese is one of my favorite up and coming artists.

I just don't think most of the features add much to this album.

edit: @TrifeGod what parts of Stressed were corny to you? I'm for real curious.

Stressed beat is nice so let me say that

It's the chorus.. "Does anyone care if I'm stressed" edit: and him trying to harmonize also
Respectfully...nah I don't really give a fukk :dead:
like this song is nowhere near "The Cow" maybe I would like it if the chorus wasn't corny to me
so I think it just boils down to me me not caring so I'm already deattached from the song, the adlibs...it's just meh
also people with more money than most complaining about stress as well..then 10 minutes later you're sending shooters and talking about waking the baby up from shootouts...whatever man ignore me lol...

Edit: Also don't get me wrong I can related to some of the shyt he is rapping about but I just feel like the execution is ass. We all have different vibes also this is more of my style of tracks like this

tl;dr This is nice album but I feel like it's not cohesive IMO and I think that contributes to some tracks being left out possibly and there's reall no skits to kinda blend in everything

album is great. beans needs help with his voice. features were lack luster .

I'd like him to do a track with malice.
beans has had some verses that sounded better quality wise than this track since his incident, this was probably old and beans probably wasn’t even there to record it.

There's footage of him recording this verse and other songs with Conway last fall. He definitely recorded it in person. They did a bunch if joints together in a couple days. Sigel's here in the studio recording on a couple different nights.

I can see why people would take FKTAG over this because the feature were better and definitely fit right in with the Griselda sound

But if the og drumwork was released...... it’s way better then both. :wow:As much as I like that all of them killed it, on the og he could’ve got someone like kiss or banks.:wow: Banks ain’t been on a shady album since 09. I think he should’ve got some better features on here. Schoolboy q, banks, kiss, jay, scarface, styles p all come to mind.

I mean you may not be wrong, but we got what we got, right? That's the one I have to compare you know?

:manny: BTW I heard the OG Drumwork beat and while it's definitely noticeably better, I wasn't blown away or anything.

100 percent, we got what we got and it’s a real dope album. 3.5 mics is pretty good I think. Half of this shyt I’m surprised we even got so I’m good. So far gdmm is my favourite on here. That loop on the og drum work with the vocal sample is too hard. I like the one on the album too just wish I nvr heard this one it’s gona take some time to adjust.

I think I have this one at a solid 4. No more no less. I think the strength of the 2nd half is so good that I'm willing to overlook some of the missteps on the first half. There's literally nothing I'd change about the 2nd half.

Yea in the next couple of weeks or month wen I’ve had more time to sit with it I might rate it higher. It’s a good album I like it more everyday and piano loves becoming a favourite on here as well.
