This album is even better once you remove the Beans and Wayne verses. Wayne was doing fine until it sounded like he started rapping on a beat switch that never happened. Sucks those are the first two tracks on the album
Gusto, too. Skip soon as Con's verse is done.

i liked the way Wayne attacked the beat, but he again had no substance whatsoever even though Cons verse is about him living his life, dealing with stresses, outcomes and expectations of how he will be remembered.

I just realized GR issue. Their producers are “beat makers” and not producers. I’m really tripping off that Beans verse. How can u hear his voice and not even attempt to dress it up? I thought this album was about to be crazy based off that beat and Con verse. But beanie came on and killed all my hype. I really hope that they patch a update for that verse. Put on a phone filter or something over that shyt. It sound like Beans whispering in my hear and shyt.
Given how close Conway is with Hov I’m stunned they didn’t bring in Young Guru to fix it. Or at least throw some ideas out. Anything would have been better than copy pasting that on top of a loud ass beat. That’s something an engineer or exec producer has to catch…someone who is shaping the vision of the project.

Oh my :damn::damn::damn:

this shyt is toooooo hard it’s a true loss that this beat wasn’t on the album. I’m just hearing this now.

I still gotta give the album more spins will be back later to post my thoughts on it.

Edit: The more I think of it I’m choked that they didn’t clear this sample it’s way better than the album version. This is the one thing I needed on the album, this versions next level.

  1. Lock load is dope af :whew:I could’ve done without the beanie verse. The more I turn up the song on his verse the worst his verse sounds. The lower I play it it sounds Ight. It should’ve been mixed better on his part, regardless of this still a banger and beanie is a legend.
  2. Tear gas- def one of the worst tracks on the album, whats worst is its basically a album opener. Just not feeling the production on this joint maybe it’ll grow on me. It sounds dated to me or something that’s already been done that doesn’t sound great. I’ve been saying this from the start that this was one of the tracks I hoped didn’t make it. The features in this track are wack and it should’ve been replaced. On from king to a god it had the perfect second track with fear of god. If you replace tear gas with fear of god it’s way doper. Tear gas would’ve been best left off the album.:francis:
  3. Piano love- excellent track, :wow:always was and sounds good within the album. some of the hate that comes from this song is over it being a track that was originally for lulu. This was a track that shouldn’t have been released months prior to the album def a dark album cut! Straight wintertime shyt! It would have been sick if this album had one more hard banger from alchemist or kilo in the trunk would’ve been perfect (it would’ve added more character to the album with q on it.)
  4. Drumwork- killer posse joint with a dark menacing daringer beat. I just heard the og version of this and it would probably be the hardest beat on the whole album:francis: truly a loss that they couldn’t get it cleared the album versions dope tho.
  5. Wild chapters- track is Ight goes well with the album I’m not too big on the singing and I could care less if ti was on it.
  6. Guilty- lyrics are dope and the song is good but this one might need to grow on me. I’m not really feeling the production that much. I wonder what happened to the Freddie Gibbs track produced by beat butcha. I don’t know if it’s sample clearance or what but I’m sure there were introspective songs with better beats that they weren’t allowed to release.
  7. John woo flick- hard banger and this trio always delivers on dope grimy production like they did recently on hell on earth 2. This song has alot of replay value.:wow:
  8. Stressed- best track on the album. This is y conways top tier. Everything from the hook to the verses/stories to the daringer production with beat butchas Additional keys and synths is just perfect.:banderas:
  9. So much more- love the sample of this track sounds like some epic victorious shyt track is dope af.:ohlawd: One of the top 3 tracks on here.
  10. Chanel pearls- Not sure about this track. It might grow on me as of now I don’t really care for it.:aicmon:
  11. Babas- weird track wen the bass kicked in I really liked the beat. I can understand y he put it on here it adds character and it’s different. It’s sort of like a interlude track I can respect it. Everyone that’s heard this song with me thought that this song sucks.
  12. Gdmm-Song is perfect and one of the best tracks on this album. Dark and introspective record great way to end the album. The best alchemist beat on here.:banderas:

I think it’s a good album :wow:couple of things that would make it better to me is one more hard alchemist track thats on that level preferably kilo in th trunk escpecially since it has q on his oxymoron shyt. Removing track 2 for another banger. Lastly I like drumwork it’s dope everyone killed it but the original beat is better and it’s on dough and Damani level which is top level shyt. If this song was on the album then id be good. Sample clearance robbed so many great albums, it definitely messed up some of the album. if I were to give this a fair review it’s a 3.5 but definitely could of been 4.5-5 mics if we didn’t get robbed of some shyt. Idk if some of the songs that I’m unsure of have any replay value. The highs of the album are really high. From king to a god is better tho. Album is dope it delivered could’ve been better tho but I can’t really complain. It is what it is. some of the shyts out of hand. Conway killed it!!!!!! :whew:

God don’t make mistakes, stress and so much more are the best tracks on here. I think drumwork would’ve also been in the top 3 if that sample never got changed!

Can't lie, I'm not feeling this too much :patrice:

FKTG was dope but i lowered my expectations for this because it was a Shady release & still felt this was mid.

Will give it another listen later on today though.
