My problem with Daringer is that his tracks tend to have the same bpm due to the slow ass drums. I get the point that the Griselda sound is built on those eerie samples and slower drums but man...I'm not sure I can listen to a 10 track project where the drums are virtually the same on every track.

Alch's drums are a bit faster on here, plus there are tracks with different percussion sounds (They Got Sunny). Daringer switched things up on a few tracks last year if I remember correctly, and I thought that could be a sign of things to come. But then he went back to the slow shyt. I wanna hear breh use a break beat or something...

Let’s be real on this Daringer point, he’s a B maybe C list producer.

he ain’t as good as Alc, or Havoc which are squarely Griselda lane. When you broaden the lens and add Premolar, Pete Rock, still not even close. And we haven’t even touched in cats like Madlib, Diamond D, Large Pro, etc.

So it’s not Daringer hate, it’s a reality check. Conway and Benny starting to get Top Tier Emcee (Jay, Royce, Pusha, Em) nods so they deserve the same in the production lane.

Up to Daringer to step his game up, it would be paramount to/be a given working with those cats

Exactly! Even cats like 38 Spesh and Roc Marc are showing big improvements production wise. I ain’t saying Daringer won’t ever produce for them but I am saying he needs to seriously step up to be on par with producers BSF are starting and will continue to work with in the foreseeable future.
