Great white hope. Overhyped. Good stand up but nowhere near Aldo's level. Seeing how Denis Siver was able to kick his leg like he did, Aldo is going to wreck his whole shyt easily.
Yeah his stand up is dope but he is a typical karate fighter, similar to his stable mate Gunnar Nelson, and Gunnar got exposed by Rick Story. Karate fighters like Lyoto,connor and Gunnar Nelson, use foot work as their prime mode of defense. The problem with that is when someone can cut off the ring they become like fish in a bucket when their back is against the cage. Also he has a few losses by submission, but I think his ground game has come a long way.(Rumor has it, he has a pretty good Reverse De La Riva and butterfly guard) I think he might even beat Aldo(I think the fight is a toss up IMO), but I think he struggles greatly against guys like Mendes and Frankie, because they can pressure fight somewhat and they can set up their take down.

Conner is known for his stand up. Jose has been whooping everybody with kickboxing also. But in Jose's early years people talked about his Jiu-jitsu being world class, he just hasn't had to use it. I think Jose will beat Conner, but a dude with 1 punch power always has a chance.
I didn't see Siver do much of anything. What round did the kick occur in?

I like Conor. But I don't know how good he is cause he hasn't been in there against any stiff competition. He's obviously a quality fighter, though.
Dana is banking on him winning this fight. All this promotion for it is certainly not being done because of Aldo, I think he's a good fighter but he hasn't earned this fight with Jose. We'll see come fight night if he's legit or not.
