People like Jelani Cobb randomly broughtt up Sanders because a certain segment of them hate him (of all races) because he had their students and young people looking at them funny and how universally popular he is with young people. LIke how did that shyt turn into Cobb saying how can West be mad about Coates comparing Obama to Malcolm because he hangs around with Farrakhan? How does he randomly bring up Sanders saying reparations are unrealistic like all those Dems didn't? Unintentionally West's fair (but harshly stated critique of Coates) turned into a Sanders vs. Clinton proxy war that Coates got caught in the middle of.

This has nothing to do with black people tearing each other down because black intellectuals have always debated publicly and criticized one another.
