Look at this shyt:

So called black writers basically playing the "economic anxiety" card just to shyt on Coates.

Racism May Have Gotten Us Into This Mess, But Identity Politics Can’t Get Us Out

Between the Black Body and Me

This is why I defend Coates. People jump through hoops to absolve white racism of causing ALL of this. Its not hardcore socialism thats coming to save you either.

West wasn't even tearing him down. If the rest of black academia would've shut the fukk up and let it just be them it would be fine. But instead, the black democratic class felt the need to chime in and then people chimed in to defend West and then all hell broke loose. People like Jelani Cobb randomly broughtt up Sanders because a certain segment of them hate him (of all races) because he had their students and young people looking at them funny and how universally popular he is with young people. LIke how did that shyt turn into Cobb saying how can West be mad about Coates comparing Obama to Malcolm because he hangs around with Farrakhan? How does he randomly bring up Sanders saying reparations are unrealistic like all those Dems didn't? Unintentionally West's fair (but harshly stated critique of Coates) turned into a Sanders vs. Clinton proxy war that Coates got caught in the middle of.

This has nothing to do with black people tearing each other down because black intellectuals have always debated publicly and criticized one another. Coates kept it respectful and so did West in his retort and said he'd love to sit down and talk to Coates and called him and told him that. It's people like the idiot OP who are the problem.
West was NOT respectful and fukk you for even suggesting I'm stoking flames here.

And since you mentioned it, Bernie has a huge racial blind spot and I suggest you actually talk to people who saw it first hand.

Cobb is 100% correct.

Racism May Have Gotten Us Into This Mess, But Identity Politics Can’t Get Us Out

:laff:

THIS IS WHY AFRO-PESSIMISM EXISTS! Because girls like this:

write articles that say dumb shyt like this:

None of this should be surprising after reading Coates’s historical account — tragically, in America, black lives don’t matter. But given this political reality, progressives should think hard about whether it’s good strategy to make black faces the singular mascot of a broader and more inclusive movement. Race is an important factor in this narrative, but centering it exclusively risks shifting focus away from those voter concerns that politicians can actually control. Personal prejudice, unfortunately, is not one of them.

HOW CAN WE WIN WITH shyt LIKE THIS?!?!?!?! :mindblown:

Man see, as much as I like leftist media, this shyt just bothers the living fukk outta me.

Now black people have to cede their identity that we didn't even create to comfort white people to MAYBE eek out economic gains with programs that really don't even do shyt in the long run?

The fukk is up with that? Just so you can fulfill some quixotic marxist wet dream?

:what: :dahell:

Juan Roberto's bald spot
A small history of Coates. After Obama won in 08 and we were all kumbaya is when Coates went to his 'no hope' theory. And people of all shade went after him for being a party pooper (see his first editor Andrew Sullivan) and Coates went fukk yall and shut down his comments section. And the people were distraught and pleaded for him to open it back up because it had proved quite useful (it truly had some of the most insightful comments on race matters you could find)
But Coates gon Coates and he :manny: all his fans and detractors. Somehow he caught on in the mainstream and I guess his comments section too has also went mainstream...so Coates with his petty ass will be just fine.:ehh:

Dude is a beta male. That's where all this pessimism comes from. He is scared of white supremacy and instead of fighting back he balls up in a fetal position and says we are doomed. bytches like him are the last thing black ppl need. If he was around during slavery he would be like "come on we been in chains for hundreds of years, we have no allies, no power and no weapons we are never going to be free just accept our fate"

I’m not a fan of Cornell West

I’ve never read ANYTHING he’s written (including his critique of Ta-Nahisi) and the only time I recall seeing him on tv is for 5 seconds before I flipped AWAY from Bill Maher

Having said that, as I told you before, Ta-Nahisi is NOT our guy

And again, as I told you before, he’s a little bytch. Look at him running :heh:

He wouldn’t defend HIS OWN reparations argument against Obama, he’s pro lgbt, pro black feminist, etc

He went from useful, to useless, to Dangerous.

He’s become a net negative for the black community

Let him burn.

What's the coli's issue with Coates again? Is it cause he's mainstream? Arguing for reparations is as radical a position one can reasonably expect from a black academic of his status.
