But when I went to college I was treated as a black person and I have been treated as a black person all my life so I feel like I have the right to say I understand what it feels like to be black. That is why I'm saying I can't relate to what he is saying. But I grew up in Philly and I hung out with all black people. Maybe he didnt.

But I would never say I understand how it feels to be 100% black because I am obviously aware my lighter skin tone and different type of hair can be ambiguous to some.... affording me the benefit of the doubt whereas other people with darker skin might not get the same luck.

This logic is so flukey and flawed. We have lighter skin black people(with 2 black peoples) that dont look "100%" black(whatever that means) or darkskin. They prolly dont experience the extra resentment darkskins face nor have the 1:1 experience as they do. Are we gonna take away their blackness now to?
So is Steph Curry and Angela Rye now not black because their not Chadwick boseman and Viola davis dark and they will not experience all the extra load that carries with having darkskin?

My mom is lightskin and i myself have had a few cases of people think im mixed. At times some people would think my mom is a white woman. So her and I are not black because we didn't have the same experiences as a darkskin person would have

I've been experiencing racism since 6th grade.
