I don’t know if you’re trolling or you’re being dead serious with that said this literally is one of the most ridiculous statements I’ve seen in a while

So less again, evaluate it and take biggie out of the equation

So you’re basically telling me that Nas and Jay-Z‘s body of work over the past two decades is just as relevant as their body of work from the mid 90s to the early 2000s = that is insane … at the end of the day. These two will be remembered by their body of work during the pinnacle of hip-hop not the hip-hop is dead era
That’s like saying Madonna whom was the biggest female star on the planet in her heyday during the early 80s, and as her run came to end the damn near 15 albums she created thereafter over 3 decades/currently cements her legacy

Again, I asked you are you trolling or are you being dead serious?
Jay and Nas overall body of work is greater than Big's 3-year run, yes. What's confusing about this?
Nas is definitely over jayz too
Negative...
At the end of the day nikkax just have to accept Big’s 2-3 years was just more resounding than anything that came out of NYC outside of what Jay accomplished over time. It was storybook

:yeshrug:
Nah man, Nas and Cool J have compelling cases over Big. I have Nas over Big. LL I'm a coin flip but that man's work is so underrated, nikkas giving Big the automatic over LL is wack...
Nah, we don't have to accept that. People need to stop acting like it's disrespectful to lower the ranking of dead artists.

Look how high Pun is. He only had one notable album. Second album wasn't good but people would lose their mind if anyone said that out loud. Is he one of the best lyricists? Absolutely but his catalog obviously can't stand up to his peers. I say the same for Big L who's one of my favorites.

Ready to Die vs Illmatic or IWW vs Life After Death? People can edge this either way. It's a close battle and no one can say it's a landslide. If it's that close but that's all Big has as far as albums how can he be over Nas who is still adding to his catalog and rapping at a high level?

Big is holding his spot largely due to nostalgia and being deceased. Nas been surpassed him.
💯!!! × 💯!!
I understand you point but nas albums don’t really hit like that outside his fanbase. Ilmatic the one. But that appeals to a way more older crowd. I know this hurt but Nas don’t got an album the general hip hop crowd care about like that. And I’m not talking no teens and 20 year olds. His own fanbase made this be the reason. Always complaining and shyt. All that complaining lessen all his albums except one.
Nah Nas has some timeless music. He not over Jay but I think he's pretty comfortably the second greatest rapper ever...

Everybody can only go off what they saw. When Big was alive who was considered bigger in NYC? Nobody

LL was the first nikka to be the face of rap for multiple years…Hit after Hit. When BIG came around who was considered the man in the city? You know the answer

Nas is an amazing rapper that damn near fell into obscurity for over a decade

BIG, like Jigga, was a hitmaker. Nas wasn’t a thing musically from like 04-??? During his heyday you heard this nikkax music and his features…sort of like you do now with Kendrick

Nas disappeared from the mainstream…as a mainstream artist. I’m not giving nikkax credit for just rapping in a corner and not mattering anymore

We all have opinions but NYC is BIG’s town. When Kiss dropped The Who Shot Ya instrumental you heard what The Garden did friend…

It’s not ridiculous.
BIGs songs are enormously more iconic than Nas songs.
Go to any hip-hop show, sporting event anywhere they play music and you’re way more likely to hear a BIG song.
Go to fights see how many people come out to BIG songs.
Nas has 5 albums in the past 2 years and BIG Greatest Hits outstreams all 5 combined by a wide margin every week.
