Will this season be the equivalent of the 3rd season of Chappelle's Show?

You mean the one that was never properly edited, produced, or finished and aired simply for ratings WITHOUT Dave Chappelle's consent?:stopitslime:

Nahhhhh I don't think so...

Good episode for a season premier, they went with a high concept episode to prove that the show hasn't lost its "uniqueness" with the departure of Hardon and probably to assure fans that they weren't overhauling the quirky humor, I felt that Abed's "Happy Place" vision of the cliched sitcom world was the show's subtle jab at that. I'd rate it a solid 8/10.

I don't know if I like the Troy/Britta pairing, ESPECIALLY since we know that Britta/Jeff is the main romantic pairing of the show, but their scene at the fountain was funny..

:stopitslime: show is always entertaining

It is a GENERALLY entertaining show, but there have been weak episodes and they've overdone the "theme" thing.

It's definitely very overrated by the nerds that love it though. Community is a very good show but it's not close to being the best sitcom out or anything like that.

lot of bad shyt in that premiere. im not gonna cry over Dan Harmon, i thought a lot of last season was weak too. I actually would have been fine with 2 seasons of this show, now they are just gonna tarnish it. Dean living next to Jeff will be awful.

thats like hbo firing david simon and letting someone else work on the wire...smh

Reading about the dude he doesnt seem like the most stable person either. I'm guessing that probably played a part too

:pacspit: to you chumps wanting this to be cancelled. If you don't like it, then don't watch it. Simple....

The classic episodes will still be classic no matter how long this show runs.

Ive read that he was consistently late with the scripts and that there was a lot of ad-libbing being done. For younger actors this might not necessarily be a bad thing but for more older established actors like Chevy who are use to certain methods of things being done on a timetable I can understand his frustration.

But really, the show is one of the more consistently acclaimed television shows currently airing, it breathed LIFE into Chase's career, I don't understand why he would flush all of that down the toilet. It's ACTING and nobody has ever really thought that Chevy was the same as his character so I don't know why he'd have such an issue playing him.

Just saw this, like how it didn't miss a beat. Really enjoyed it.

And put into perspective just how garbage 30 Rock was this season.

Curious to know if the presidential show is any good? Penn Plaza? (Don't remember it's name) - I remember never giving the "4th spot" on Thursday shows any chance. Cause they were most likely garbage. Except Outsourced, I liked that one even if it didn't fit in with the rest.

Alright just found the list of shows for Thursday Nights when they went the comedy route.

---the new era starting 06---

1. My Name Is Earl (2005-2009, good stuff)
2. The Office (2005-2013)
3. Scrubs (2006-2007, started way earlier in 2001, technically doesn't count)
4. 30 Rock (2006-2013)
5. Parks and Rec (2008-)
6. Community (2009-)

Others that never made a mark:
1. Kath and Kim
2. Outsourced
3. Perfect Couples
4. Paul Reiser Show
5. Whitney
6. Up All Night
7. 1600 Penn

:leon: not bad all in all, they had trouble filling that last spot though.

This is the end though.

I haven't seen the whole episode, so I can't say for sure, but it didn't seem that bad. Not side-splitting hilarious, but OK.

I think this is similar to another show I watch that had a producer change. Everyone acted like it was an entirely different show and wasn't the same/wasn't as good, but there was barely any change aside from some awkward episodes during the transition.

Also, most of the people hating on this episode also threw the second half of season three under the bus, which was the most "Harmony" of the show. So that tells me they really don't know what they're talking about when they say it's not the same without Harmon. It also tells me I don't need to respect their opinions because the second half of season three was the greatness. :birdman:
