You can't get away with this...when Tony and Reed were left looking and without answers, Doom dissected Galactus using a Klaw weapon and conquered the Beyonders They don't have a feat that touches that. They never did. Reed could never figure out how to reverse Grimm's condition or how to cure the Legacy virus either. So he's not the be and end all...if he was so smart, why was he so fukking frustrated during Onslaught after every device he and Tony put together failed over and over again while Doom appeared, built something on the spot, and created the means that started the ending.

Forge's intelligence comes from his powers...he loses his powers. He's done. That wouldn't matter with Magneto, Sinister, Doom, Reed, or Valeria. They know too much about tech, science, and genetics. I don't see Pym anywhere near the list...Ultron has made a fool out of him for far too long and if wasn't for Wanda bailing him out, he would be dead.

There's nothing to get away with, when i'm talking specifically about Secret Wars 2015, in which it's pretty clear what the narrative is regarding who is low key envious if not scared of who, between Victor and Reed.

All that Reed is the be all, end all stuff, that's someone else's argument. In the same SW'15 - Time Runs Out storyarc in fact, it's been implied fairly heavily that Valeria is smarter than all of them anyway... and, on the good guy side, that she only respects her dad and T'Challa's intelligence, referring to the rest of the Illuminati as "their sort-of smart friends."

Where does Forge rank?
Forge basically goes into a fugue-like state when he creates his technological wonders. That's the gist of his mutant powers. He doesn't know how he got from point A to B consciously but can explain its function pretty much if he had to.
Yeah he's smart and all but that power kinda makes him a cheat compared to the others listed.
That gun he created that could take away superpowers tho...:wow:

the thought of that gun always unnerved me when I was little. like THEY were afraid of it's existence so I was afraid of it.

Remember that issue right after Storm lost her powers, though? Forge had the multistory house with the invisible floors and walls. :ohlawd:

X-Men #184. Crib was dope as fukk. That was his first appearance where he was living in Dallas.

Yeah that gun he created was dangerous. Forge gets very little love IMO but the man could definitely give Stark and Richards a run for their money with the hardware he can produce.

Fukk that stupid list. I'm going by what has actually been shown in the comics. Comic book hyperbole does not count and we've had decades of source material of these characters showing their intellect.

Honestly it would be easier to separate these characters into tiers rather than say who's smarter because that would depend on the writers and the motivations of the characters. So based upon my 20+ years of reading comics this is how they are normally portrayed.

Tier 1 would be Reed/Doom/Thanos(If you wanna include cosmics) The shyt they've done puts them far above any non cosmic level intellect in the MU

Tier 2 would be Stark/Banner/Pym/T'Challa/Beast/The Leader/High Evolutionary (most of the folks on this list dabble in a little bit of everything but are specialist or the top of their field in a specific area)

Tier 3 the Wizard/Xavier/Apocalypse/Magneto/MODOK/Mad Thinker/Parker/Doc Ock/Sinister/Zola/Cho/Osbourne (the folks in the area normally are geniuses in one area but they have shown competent intellect in other areas)

The gap between tier 3 and 2 is not that wide an I'm sure arguments can be made to switch characters from one list to the other.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some names but I think the point remains.........

On a side note....where does Dr. Strange fit into all of this?!?!

Think about it this way... everyone of them cats except Stark has invited or produced something that somehow and someway worked against them.
