These dudes are really uneducated, ignorant , smoke H and weed constantly, and some of them are either raping little boys or scamming money. Not to mention there was constant attacks by insiders against afgan forces and sometimes us soldiers which killed trust.

The taliban had all the real warriors and most of these guys are rural Shephard and merchants. There was no chance it would succeed

I think folks are clowning the Afgan National Army more than the taliban. The taliban seemed to be the most capable people in the country compared to the ragtag army the US tried to create.

Not many of us deserve it, but thank you lol. Most of us did our jobs. An award like that shows the measure of someone who decides they’re willing to die to get things done, or protect those around them. 99.9% of us would make the logical choice of survival.

The people who get the MOH skip over “above and beyond” and go to a completely different place, beyond heroics. It’s often a posthumous award for a reason.

We don’t deserve a pat on the back or anything. Most of that shyt doesn’t even feel real anymore, outside of intrusive memories of traumatic shyt. I look at old pictures, sometimes, and it’s hard to believe I was there. My award was survival, some Arcom’s, and lifelong friends. Most of our actions will be or have been forgotten about, aside from those directly involved.

US military air strikes don't do the damage they expect.. When it goes from an air to land battle is when it gets ugly..

Afghanistan is slightly smaller than Texas....basically it's Texas but with the population size of California....but with a ton of mountains and mostly civilians.

Air strikes seem almost useless.
