The project has hit the 48 hour mark which means that people who wanted to be notified about the time are getting their emails, so hopefully the rest of the money will come quickly so this can get funded

Weapons

Weapons in Combat Core are more than a novelty or gimmick, and can help you defeat your opponents in a variety of ways. Weapons spawn randomly at the start of every match, and may have more some subtle mechanics that aren't always obvious! Currently there are 4 weapons/items available to use in the game. The final game will have many more! Here's a rundown on the current arsenal and how they work:

"The Barrel"
- these are not regular weapon spawns and appear according to the current stage layout. The attacks are slow but are among the biggest damage attacks in the game! For the comparison - the Beam Uppercut, the strongest core attack in the game, has a base damage (with no damage stat boost) of 350, whereas the heavy barrel slam has a base damage of 300, with no energy cost!

"Flash Blade" - a quick melee weapon that can be used for combos and throwing quickly. The damage actually increases when you are holding more energy orbs!

"Chrome Blaster" - an energy-powered swiss army rifle! It can fire energy grenades or straight lazers, and when you toss it to the ground it becomes a landmine! (still working on the final model design and effects!)

"Core Shield" - a handy boomerang shield with both defensive and offensive utility! It enables auto-guard, and can windstand much more damage than your standard guard, and actually returns any damage energy in seconds! The attack damage is weak, but it can be used effectively for long ranged attacks. The shield will return if it doesn't hit any obstructions on the way back!

Along with more interactive stage pieces, some of the future weapon ideas include:

- Power Bat
- Bo Staff
- 3-section Staff
- Nunchaku
- Rocket Launcher
- Sledgehammer

Each weapon will bring something new to the table and add more depth to the combat!

Current Playable Characters: Although they will continue to be balanced, tweaked, and improved, these characters are already playable in the current alpha build!

Bruizer is our "balanced" character on the roster. He has an even spread of stats and a good mix of close and mid-range attacks.

Pugi is a quick character that accels when rushing and pressuring an opponent. She can cause a lot of damage with her combos but is lacking in energy, so her guard is weak and she can't depend on consistently using core attacks.

Skatie has the highest speed of all characters, but has very low health and low damage stats. She is best for spacing opponents and capitalizing on their mistakes when they can't keep up with her speed. With her high energy and charge rating, she can utilize her core attacks more often and her guard can absorb more damage.

Jondo is speedy character with a focus on ranged attacks and projectiles. He has very high rating for speed and energy, but his charge, health, and damage are below average. Jondo can wear his opponents down from a safe distance, but his attacks consume a lot of energy - if he runs out of he will be very vulnerable.

Ember is high health and high damage character, but is slow and lacking in energy and charge rating. She is the only character (so far) that has grabs in her combos, which can't be parried or blocked. She can tank a ton of damage and dish it out too!

Upcoming Characters - These characters (along with our cross-over characters) haven't been developed in-game yet, but will begin development shortly after campaign finishes!

I definitely want this to be a modern Power Stone :wow:. I think it's going to be funded. It's at $29,350 and it has about two hours and 15 minutes left.

Edit: $29,404 now!
