Alcoholics are bad people, crack addicts are barely people. Both need help but there is no such thing as a functioning crack addict. It’s a matter of when they crash out, not if they will.

There are definitely functional cocaine addicts, like there are fictional Meth addicts. Crack is a different beast for addicts because it's a drug that always makes you chase. The high itself only last a few minutes so you have to keep doing it over and over.

In my experience Cocaine addicts tend to be alcoholics as well because the two drugs mix together very well. Ive met several high functioning cocaine addicts. A lot of attorneys do coke
