He may have a point but this isn’t the 80s where people have access to actual cocaine. Your getting something stepped on with pharmaceuticals, synthetics, or at worst fentanyl.

Wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole…. Haven’t done cocaine in damn near 20 years. Even so called rich folks who supposed to have access to top flight products even getting hit with the okey doke when it comes to cocaine

That California Lifestyle ...
He not lying..if cocaine was grown in France, Uk, anywhere in Europe there be a lot of stores with cokes as their main seller in the US

In the movie "The Untouchables"... Elliot Ness has chased Al Capone for years..people killed, resources wasted and they ended up sending Capone to Alcatraz on some trumped up tax charges.

It was not so much about alcohol consumption to the US government by that point it was moreso the taxation of the alcohol vs. the teetotalers outrage at that stage of the Prohibition experiment.

In the movie ...A reporter asks Elliott Ness after all of that .. "What will you do now that the government has repealed Prohibition?"

The Kennedy's came up off Moonshine and bootleg liquor ...

"What is true is that during the waning days of Prohibition, Kennedy traveled to Europe with Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s son James, who helped him obtain importing contracts for Dewar’s, Gordon’s Gin, and Haig & Haig. “Jimmy’s presence next to Joe at business meetings signaled to the British business leaders that if they wanted to please the new administration, here was a good way to do it,” wrote Laurence Leamer in The Kennedy Men. Somerset Importers got permits to sell medicinal whiskey in America, too, which allowed Kennedy to sign the importation agreements legally. Prohibition was repealed soon after his trip, leaving him in excellent shape to supply a very thirsty America with high-quality booze from the United Kingdom.

In 1946, he sold Somerset Importers to former mobsters Longy Zwillman and Joseph Reinfeld.

Hersh theorizes that this was done so JFK could run for a seat in Congress.

Even 13 years after the end of Prohibition, America was still uneasy with people in the liquor business.

But, according to Hersh, after both John and Bobby held office, Joe was still fond of giving out booze to his sons’ friends and colleagues. Looks like old habits die hard."

Just like weed dispensaries being legalized now ...

But that's his point. If it was legalized obviously there would be better quality control

The Ummah!
Alcohol is a lot worse than coke. How many people have killed others high on coke vs Alcohol? We got drunk drivers killing multiple people every night all over the country.

:hubie: I agree. Regulation is always a great thing…. The black market is no longer regulated how it used to be… Or maybe it’s unregulated on purpose…. :jbhmm:
