Keep working save your money for 3 years buy the land.
Go to switz with the 10,000. Open account, build a relationship with the bank.
Slowly over 5 years put money into the account.
Invest in hi yield stocks and some new comer stocks that way you can explain your income to banks and such. ( This won't guarantee you won't be on the feds map)
After 8 years of no fukk ups, you will be able to move from the farm to anywhere in the world.
I will say this tho, you never be able to use the full amount of money you find not even half.

This would be a perfect plan...if the old man didn't have family. The person with the money often understands the ramifications of its nature, the problem is often the people around them who don't and act reckless because of it.
But I guess it's one of those things where it's worth a shot anyway.
