It's a great example. Most people who go out don't expect to get as drunk as they do, yet they are still expected to take a cab home or find someone else to drive their vehicle all while under the influence of alcohol mind you. So we expect this person, in a compromised state to still make responsible decisions. Yet when it comes to the case of women who drink too much and something happens to them, they are alleviated from any responsibility. Women are often removed from responsibility in this society and it's disgusting. If a man is sober, or at least cognizant to realize a woman is out of it, of course he shouldn't sleep with her. But being real, she plays a part in that also. I will agree that if it could ever be misconstrued, leave the p*ssy for another day.

Not a stretch at all...same intoxicant (alcohol), same risk of injury or death (car crash/disease-rape-murder), different standards of how it should be dealt with(should have known better/no responsibility for own well-being).

definitely not the same risk of injury or death. just check the stats and do the math...how many people are seriously injured or die from drunk driving every year vs the same from drunk sex/rape. you are far more likely to be seriously hurt or kill someone else in a drunk driving accident. even if you factor in stds (rarely a death sentence these days), there is still no comparison of the health implications compared to drunk driving.

the only point i'm making is that while bad decisions are made when drunk, one is inherently far more dangerous to one's self and society vs the other and drawing parallels does a disservice to each in their own way.

this woman seems to be claiming rape because she didn't like being caught on candid camera in the moment of her carefree whoring and wants to reclaim some sense of dignity. imo if she had been offered keys to drive home that same night she probably would have said no because even though drunk she still understood the risk and repercussions were far worse than being offered some head and dikk from a random stranger.

1. Nobody said she "deserved" anything.
2. ...even so, that's not the same as not having sympathy.
