Poison. Alcohol and certain drugs/substances are straight poison and I think a lot of people are willingly poisoning themselves. College towns are toxic environments. I'm not saying not to do the stuff, but moderation is a foreign concept to a lot of people.
I don't want to assume, or project, so I won't speak much on the girl or the guy involved in this story, but this type of shyt sprouts so easily, so damn easily brehs. I'm around people who've got "important" office jobs on campus and shyt, but they still play with fire. They still knowingly get shytfaced, understanding blackout risks, but then play the "wha-what happened last night?" card. Girls with lofty internships, getting school funding, are knocking back so many beers that they end up going home with the "wrong guy", but will still try and play this innocent, victim role.
A lot of humans are scared when they're sober, especially the young ones. It's so easy to use alcohol, or any hard substance, as a crutch. Maybe that's what happened in this scenario. It's a really unfortunate one. I feel like a lot of these folks want to do participate in this drunk, wavy acts when they're sober, but just don't have the cojones to do so. Let your substances give you sustenance, brehs.
