It ain't like that anymore. For every person that did that, there are dozens of cases where people didn't make it, even with hard work and a plan. Plus American should have people working WITH one another to improve conditions, not to fight over scraps and people living in poverty for a *slight* chance of a decent life. That is why the standard of living in America is going way down, because people are too damn selfish to help one another to make basic things of life easier.
Thats what people are doing, piling together in a residence and saving money.

More of this zero sum thinking eh? :patrice:

If you want to keep people trapped and stagnant, keep them in their own state for their entire lives. And THEN complain why Americans never travel outside of their comfort zone :heh:

My age Doesn't matter. It also doesn't matter what society thinks that people should do when they are living in scraps.
Actually your age does matter because you may have the perspetive of someone whos not really in the world yet. You know, young. You see no way to better your life in this current climate? I have a high school education and im doing very well because you know, i chose the right industry. Maybe its time for friends to use that time being unemployed to get into new sectors of work, to sustain themselves. There is always a way, dont be afraid to move. Also, lets not sound hopeless like quitters

Nah, I rather be practical and OVERCOME such problems so that future generations have it easier, not just face them.

You arent in a position of power to do that. You're speaking from the perspective of someone with the power to change the nation.

Economics and the lack of pushing people to explore somewhere new when they are young. Plus, the colleges out of state overcharging people who want a change of scenery

yall ain't got coke products? just pepsi? :patrice:
You and @concise act like what I'm saying is not the reality of the situation now

Leave out all the people that have scholarships

A lot of colleges are filled by people who grew up cheering for the football or basketball team

People pick HBCUs by the same measurements of fun

And who is the hopeless person now? :mjpls:
 You because you're catering to fantasies to explain why there are no solutions for people today. By the logic of your words you would need to be the person making billions of dollars to help these future generations. Nothing gets done without capital so yea, you're hopelessness in your logic would only apply to everyone else, and not you for your dreams to come true. You're the savior so to me, you arent making a lot of sense right now.
