 You because you're catering to fantasies to explain why there are no solutions for people today. By the logic of your words you would need to be the person making billions of dollars to help these future generations. Nothing gets done without capital so yea, you're hopelessness in your logic would only apply to everyone else, and not you for your dreams to come true. You're the savior so to me, you arent making a lot of sense right now.

That is if people take your advice and end up with a fraction of what you have. A better way can be created if we do things differently and go after the ones that actually have the $$$.

Ok so you want a war not a liveable wage. You want to be the new rich and create the new poor.

The average standard of living in the UK is inferior to the united states, friend. Everything in Western Europe costs more.

So proper universal healthcare, a smaller homeless population, and friendlier people is bad now? It's more balanced over there than here.

Smaller homeless population? There are only 65 million people there. There are 313 million in the united states. Those nations would be crushed by our population. Also their homeless population increased by 15 percent in one year after 2008. The nation is going broke and is having trouble sustaining itself with such a small population and a 2 trillion dollar GDP. Despite UK having universal health care the quality of care in the United States is still better which is why they come to the US to get surgeries. Now this still hasnt been perfected but the us has made great strides toward insuring more friends. I dont see how you can say the UK is more balanced then the US when the cost of living just doesnt show that friend. No nation on earth is giving the quality of care that the US gives its citizens for the size of population the US has. No one.

Only country that has a large population than us is Russia and China, and they are :stopitslime: status at best. This system only benefits the few people and for a God fearing person, you sure have a cold heart helping people and use the "boot straps" approach that was used in generations prior. Social mobility in America is much harder now than ever 10 years ago. Even immigrants are leaving America these days because it ain't worth it in the long run.

I feel more people could be employed if they were willing to move and train in different/new industries. (not everyone) Some have to take a reduced wage. There is no snap your finger approach to solving unemployment because millions of people are relying on openings in the private sector for employment. Im guessing you feel that when these layoffs happen that the government should step in to give jobs to everyone? Ok so be it but ultimately the majority of people that work have pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and few things are given in this world. As a high school grad with whos living well, if you arent willing to relocate and train in viable job skills you can be left unqualified for alot of the positions that are out there, friend.

Nah, just tax the rich people slightly more and cut down on their bonuses that puts people out of work

The government doesnt have the power to tell a business not to give bonuses. You think they should have that power?

Also, alot more goes into avoiding layoffs then just not giving bonuses and giving more taxes, friend. If the company you work for has more taxes and less bonuses, how does that keep you employed? Here read this article on how Honeywell operated during the rough recession. Many companies are doing furloughs to keep their people working. Friend, laying off people is not something companies enjoy doing. Especially when you're laying off talented workers that add value to a company.
